Good news for ucf when our contract is set to expire with Nike. 60k students plus another legit player making offers.

It was reupped a few months ago

I have been in the UA corner for UH for a long time. I hope it happens.

Now football I agree UA is becoming the preferred outfitter. Basketball is by a landslide Nike.

Not even close.

^Yes but who cares...the more important thing is how much your school gets.

I'd rather get $5mil/year from under armor (supposedly UC's deal) vs $800,00/yr from Nike. Nike treated UC (after the Jumpman stuff in hoops) like a minor partner. Adidas gave us preferential treatment and a lot more money. UA is taking it all to the next level for us. I don't care if we are the only UA rep at $5mil per year.

The really cool part for UC is that your gonna love the product too. USF has been with UA for quite some time and we've never had complaints. You guys got a massive deal if true. USF is still sitting around $2 million, given our Fball program is a baby in comparison. Our current deal isnt up for another 3-4 years I believe and if we can turn things back around Id expect that UA will take care of us. Theyve been a good partner thus far.

From an ECU fans perspective I like the UA a lot better than Nike. ECU has some of the funkiest/ugliest/weird looking gear I have ever seen and a lot of that is made by nike. I guess I like my stuff simple (similar to what the coaches and players get) and its almost impossible to find that for ECU

I agree actually. UA's stuff just seems 'cheap' to me. Once again, I know a lot of this is about the overall sponsored donation... But the product quality seems second tier to me. Especially basketball stuff. UnderArmor sneakers are an absolute joke.

Under Armour is garbage. Cheap is being nice. There is a reason that they have to pay a premium for a brand like UC to wear their stuff.

I actually kinda hated those at first but the team went nuts over them and now theyre a part of us. We pull out the "So.Flo" gear on Special occasions. Even the football gear now has an edition and from what I have heard, there may be a couple more variations too.
Its our own unique thing. Its part of the Caribbean/Cuban influence that the Tampa Bay area is known for and I like it.
