Coach is almost always a great interview... just simply states things as they are without all the ridiculous, childish, insulting coach speak. When Fuente speaks, people listen.

When it comes to football at Memphis, Fuente may set the standard that all others are measured from here on out. Gotta keep this guy as long as humanly possible.

Can we enjoy our football program's excellent status and awesome coach without smacking our basketball program and coach around? Love Love Love where our football program is! So easy to listen to Fuente. Seems like a truly straight shooter. No BS. This is what it is. Go Tigers Go!!

I hope he stays for a long time. However, if he has another great season he is probably gone. Unless we get in P5 or go crazy with a JP type contract.

No reason that he can't accomplish here what Gary Patterson did at TCU and be happy here. And that was a long road. It's going to take that kind of success to get into a P5.

I remember Tommy West once saying something like "This is the best team that I've ever coached", and then we went 2-10. I have a feeling that you will NEVER hear Fuente saying anything like that. No coach speak. Just truth.

Only if they swap salaries. The football coach is worth what the basketball coach makes. Sadly the basketball coach isn't worth what the football coach makes.

Fuente has this evenness about him that sets him above many. He has a wiseness that seems to go beyond his actual age.

Take successful decision making, for example. Most people don't start off with that skill. It's not like you need to find the 'best' decision...since there isn't a best.

Just grab one with your insight and make it so, a la Picard.
