AAC now has 9 bowls per year, if this bowl pans out.
Which means we could have access to another bowl or two that they can't fill due to not enought bowl eligible teams.
Since this is about the only bowl that is regional to Tulsa, SMU, Houston, Tulane, and Memphis most years Little Rock isn't likely to get shorted. The worry for us is they short the Cure Bowl because we'd end up playing a MAC most likely and not gain a slot we could put an excess team in.
Or a 11th or 12th place P5 school.
Getting the opportunity to knock off a 6 win team from a P5 if AAC shorts it is not a bad consolation at all.
When they stop sending 6-6 teams from the P5 to bowls then we should work to make 7-5 our minimum as well. Until then, it is a good time for the people and cities involved in the bowls, we get more games on TV and anyone not involved can stick it.

If it comes down to the P5 needing to fill excess bowls, their last choice would be a game against the 4th best team in the SBC.

I think you can scratch TooLame from your most likely candidates. And if they do accept on occasion there will be no fan support. They barely can muster bowl support at the NOLA.
Tulane had a helluva lot of fans in Memphis for the Liberty Bowl (caveat I spent my time in bars which were understandably short of BYU fans).

I am assuming 1. New Orleans 2. Mobile then what?
3. Montgomery
4. Orlando
5. Little Rock

My guess....this only applies if the home teams aren't eligible.
ULL will be first on the NOB list, and I assume we would be first on the LRB list.

This is so much better for LR, then a match-up with a MAC, or even, ConUSA team. An ASU-Memphis match-up might come close to filling the stadium. ASU vs. Tulsa, SMU, Tulane, or Houston; or even ULM vs. those teams would likely draw very good crowds to Little Rock. Great economic boon for the city and great opportunity for ASU to play teams that have appeal and name recogntion to folks in Arkansas.
