WALKING DEAD
Tonight's Season 5 Finale was AWESOME. Best finale of the series thus far.
Really wanted Glen and Sasha to "pull the trigger."
Great that Morgan's back!

Can't wait for season 6. . . . .

I thought you were referring to App State baseball and softball at present.

On your topic. I know Glenn would not pull the trigger. That is not Glenn. If you read the comics you know something I will not spoil. That was my worry.

I was not sure if Sasha would not kill Gabriel. Glad she did not do such. Maybe Gabriel will come to terms with how he is projecting what he did to his congregation and then become a useful member of society.

Eugene is perfect. So well written, as is Abraham.

Sadly the mid-season finale was 30 November . This was THE finale for season 5. have heard they hope to do 10 seasons so we are half way there though not 1/2 the episodes as season 1 and 2 were only 6 and 13 episodes each instead of the 16 they do now.

The spin-off is coming this summer so there is that as well.

WALKING DEAD
Glad Morgan is back as I'm a big Lennie James fan, but I'm worried about how he and new-Rick will work out. Morgan feels that every life is precious and he just witnessed Rick shoot Pete.

RE: WALKING DEAD
I was NOT a fan of last night's episode.

I think it's because I read the "books", and was expecting more... action.

I am looking forward to seeing how the Padre comes around (naturally), and I'm wanting to see what the guy Glenn tore up does.

Plus, we got a sneak peak at the new companion series debuting this summer... FEAR the Walking Dead. Unoriginal title, but the premise is interesting.

Even with comics the written word is often better than the filmed version. In this case they have to back off the words and some action to make it to cable. I am sure HBO could do a bit more in that area, but I don't have HBO.

It will be interesting how some of the upcoming characters in the comics find their way/or not into the TV series.

Every life IS precious . . . Unless your a slimy wife beating, kid beating, porch dick doctor living next door to Rick Grimes . . . . Then, not so much . . . .

This is why I am trying to get to 500 posts so I can start giving rep points or whatever it is called on this board.

Agree completely. But Morgan has no insight into the Pete situation, so it must have come as a shock to his character to see Rick do that. Especially considering Rick is the one guy that Morgan knows in the world, and he thinks Rick is a pretty swell guy.

RE: WALKING DEAD
Seemed like the theme of the episode was forgiveness. Started with Morgan not killing the "W" weirdos. Glen and Sasha holding back from killing those in their sights, and the priest searching for forgiveness the entireepisode seemingly finding it at the end. That said, did Rick really kill the porchdick? They didn't show his death?

Interesting to note: HBO passed on The Walking Dead because it was "too violent".

Given their history of series... I found that strange.

They NEVER showed him killing porchdick (I thought he was shooting the architect husband guy with the slashed throat), but in the Talking Dead, they confirmed... Porchdick, no more.

They didn't show who Rick killed, are you sure it was the surgeon? Could have shot the architect instead.

Had to be the Dr. Deanna had a quick change of heart on taking out Pete. They will need to take care of Reg before he turns, but that can done with a knife in a less messy way. It would make no sense for a grieving Deanna to ask Rick to finish off her husband by blowing her husbands brains all over the place while she was holding Reg in her arms.

Do you read the comics? To be honest I forgot about this story line in the comics.

I am not a big comic fan in general. And without going into detail on how I read them I will say they are not bad. If you have a chance to read them at some point it would be worth it, if you like the show. You might find some on Youtube actually. Some people will make a movie of turning the pages. Not legal and they may have been taken down but I found some that way. And the issues that are now over a decade old can be purchased in a digital form for cheap from what I have seen.

24 pages of comics can be read in 5 minutes I guess. They are at episode 139 as of 5 days ago. About 12 hours of reading to be caught up. Mostly monthly but a few times there are have been issues every two weeks.

Both the comics and the TV show are basically a soap opera. Once into the story it is hard to pull away. I keep wanting to know what happens, and I get a surge of dopamine when I find out.

McLean... I've found they are GREAT bathroom readers.

When i get the "book version" of the comics (like 5 comics at once), it easily replaces the trusty smart phone and internet.

I don't remember a real confirmation on Talking Dead. Chris Hardwick talked about it, yes and assumed like all of us that he did it (cast just nodded but didn't confirm). Just like we were left to assume that Judith was eaten by Walkers after the Govenor'a attack. I mean Rick really wanted to, and at this point the guy is pretty stone cold, but it just does that seem like the thing to do after all that was happening in that episode. Seems like Rick kind of came back away from that ledge after Michone beat his ass. He was truthful and tried giving Michone the gun, an like I said was back from crazy Town.

I think they even showed him in the "we say goodbye to those we lost" segment of Talking Dead.
