lol. jk. congrats
Having watched Georgia Southern's women on the court, I can understand why you asked that question.
you watched them play? I try not to. lol
I watched the Cajun women play most of their home games this year. One game that I saw happened to be Georgia Southern.
I love the women's game when it is well played. Alas, in the Sun Belt, it is not often played very well except by those who attend school in Arkansas.
Troy, UL, TxSt and UTA are improving. If all continue to do so and stAte and UALR don't fall off, we could be a pretty good women's basketball league in a year or two.
All of our schools need to schedule better OOC for this to happen.
In 2006-2007 the Sun Belt had 5 teams in the top 100 RPI, another 5 between 100 and 200, and none [of 13] below 265.
This year there were 2 in the top 100, 5 between 100 and 200, 2 between 200 and 300 and 2 below 300.
The top 2 RPI's this year were UALR at 29 and stAte at 45.
In 2007 MTSU was 13, WKU was 34, UL was 64, stAte was 72 and UALR was 89.
Before anyone else points it out, these numbers are regular season only; the numbers the NCAA uses to select tournament participants. [Yes, stAte got screwed out of an NCAA bid this year.]
