RE: Who misses UT ESPN Classic games?
UT vs. UM is missing from the list. Like Penn St. I was amazed at how quiet 107,000 got. Aside from the game and score board, my visual take away was the UM fan sitting on a curb outside the stadium with his head in his hands muttering "we just lost to mother f$#king. Toledo."

RE: Who misses UT ESPN Classic games?
I've been going through some old vhs tapes myself and I have that 03 game against CMU as well as the 01 MACC game verses Marshall. I also have the game between Marshall and Miami when the Miami coach punched a Marshall fan. I don't have the Penn St game but I do have a copy of the '98 game against OSU.

I've got the Chester Heisman tape, UT-Michigan, the really long VHS tape of the history of UT football, 2004 football recruiting class, 2000 football highlight tape, a bunch of UT coaches' shows (mostly with Pinkel) and who knows what else.

I would love to see Tangerine Bowl tapes. Especially the one where UT blows out a team coached by some guy named Lou Holtz. Mizlou Network was the original broadcaster.

No. That was a home win before we went and got drubbed at ball st 35-3 when we were 18th in the country.

Correct, the tie was in 1995. In 1997, we were ranked 18th as you mentioned, then the funk hit. The mother of one of our players (I can't remember his name, but he was a DE and I keep thinking Fernandez for some reason) died a couple of days or so before the game. Don't know if the players were distracted or what, but we laid an egg in that game. The rest of the season kind of went downhill with 2 more losses including the loss at Marshall in the first MACC game. Was 8-0 and ended 9-3.

All correct. It was Matt Fernandez's mom that passed. I was a freshman that year, I remember that Kreitzburg catch was just about the loudest I've ever heard the GB erupt (next to Lance's catch vs Pitt). Daytime football, too, for that Miami game. That was a fun season up until the last couple of weeks.

UT was down 21-3 at halftime vs Marshall in MACC game at GB in 2001 and we stormed back for the big win!

I was there!

I remember their QB pretending to shoot guns at the fans at half-time. To my eternal shame, I ran around to where Marshall left the field and repeated the motion for the benefit of the morose, mauled Marshall minions at game' send.

Thanks for the info. I don't remember the 1997 game versus Miami, but I remember listening to the Ball State game on the radio with my dad. That still goes down as one of the most shocking losses in my time following UT.

The "over-inflated balls" game featuring the anti-Brady, Omar Bradley, err...Jacobs was a dam good one.
