RE: Josh to TN?
Yep yep yep.

No one has argued that injuries are not a part of the game.

Nor has anyone argued that unfortunately our team this immediate past year was not good enough to overcome the specific injury, all things considered.

While injuries are indeed part of the game, which means the 18-14 was a deserving record, you are not really trying to argue that it did not have an impact..or that other teams that have suffered injuries in the last, were not impacted either right?

It is what it is...and it hurt.

Hopefully no significant injuries like that this coming year...even if the team is likely in a slightly better situation to handle it.

Nichols ain't no LeBron, but neither team plays as well without them.

Uh oh.

They are mad.

Mimi is only recognizing that the team had a very difficult year last year and has come up just a bit short of the Sweet sixteen the years before that and should the team have similar results this coming season...one past a rebuilding one...we should look for another coach...but has stopped short of mocking and bashing the coach...and gets there is some disappointment but simply disagrees that it rises to this level of nastiness and will be critical of decisions but will not mock and berate the coach...so....

For what it is worth, the same account tweeted that Texas was looking at Turgeon and that Marshall isn't looking like the right fit there.

With the issues that UTK has had with coaches and the NCAA, do you think they would come for Josh with his squeaky clean image and propensity for graduating players and making the NCAAs three out of last four years? Just a thought.

If they are more concerned with their image then they are with winning I can see them doing this

In all honesty, I think Josh would be a good hire for UTK. The one thing they need more than anything is to clean up their image, and he would do that immediately. There's no arguing it. And they wouldn't be gaining or losing much either way in coaching compared to who they've had lately.

I don't know if Josh would be interested, but it could actually work out well for all parties involved.

I agree that the Vols might see Pastner as a way to clean up their "radioactive wasteland", as Wolken called it.

Any salary deal is negotiated between Pastner and Tennessee. If Pastner opts to resign his TIGER coaching position, then MEMPHIS owes him nothing. In fact, Pastner might have to pay some nominal buy out fee.

Again, Pastner must decide quickly if he wants to go into his 7th season here or relocate to a new place and fresh start. I personally always envisioned him moving west and not east. But who knows?

According to a Kyle Veazey article back in 2013, if Pastner leaves on his own accord, he would owe $600,000 if he leaves between April 7, 2014 and April 6, 2015; and $500,000 if he leaves after April 7, 2015.

Sorry Mimi, but for one we shouldn't have needed a rebuilding year. We've had how many top 10 recruiting classes over the past several years? How many of those top players have left? I really like Josh as a person, but he isn't getting it done here. He is underachieving year after year with the squad he has had.

I've been all for giving Josh the time and tools to be successful, but at some point you've got to admit he isn't getting us back where we need to be.
