I would imagine alot of us were Memphisroar free posters. When they moved to premium alot of us made the jump here.

I wasn't even on Roar till 2011--joined here and there same day, and never read or posted here till last year. I read a lot of archive stuff here just to figure out what aliases I was being called, and there did seem to be more harmony and lighter times.

Here's some irony: I started reading and posting here because Ramen kept dropping links on Roar to ORG. Late at night, he'd drop a link and say...I don't know why they hate our coach so much. So I came to look.

Key years for your reading pleasure were 2004 2005. It was often quite ugly, although less personal...I think some of the mockers were secretly intimidated by Narcissist the person, so they had less puff and bravado...probably scared Narcissist, while leading a team with a bunch of NBA players to the NIT, would find them and kick their asses.

Irony is, Pastner, while nicer, is a lot tougher.

Joining here I just wanted a place to come get information and share common love for the Tigers with good dialogue. I would take a peek on this site from tim to time but just couldn't get used to the format. All in all, I think all posters, except for the trolls, want the same thing. The problem ultimately lies on what perception we are all looking at when it comes to the program. Some see it as we are good to be where we are (half or mostly full) while some look at it as though we could be better (half or mostly empty). There is definitely a great divide here.

uh oh. I think I wasn't clear....I was comparing old ORG to today's ORG, and what I meant was this: OLD ORG seemed to be lighter and more harmonious; but it could have just been the archived threads I was reading. I was searching threads and posts for the names of posters that people here had accused me of being...lol...just out of curiosity.

Roar is no comparison to here. They are both too different.

There seems to be virtually no disagreement over the needed course of action. Almost every single poster has suggested the same thing needs to occur. That's more what I would call a consensus.

The disagreement, apparently, is more over the perceived tone used when making the suggestion and whether or not you precede or follow it by listing a number of positive attributes of the guy you're suggesting needs to go.

It may sound funny, but that's what it seems to boil down to. Anybody want to disagree with that assessment?

Well put. That's pretty much it. Generally it's just the tone coming from the real personality of the person that is the trigger for me. Lists of our coach's good attributes don't sway me one way or the other.
