What in the world is going on
I don't live in memphis but grew up in the city a big Tiger fan..........since the Tigers and the Chicks (and the Memphis Americans for all you former indoor soccer fans) were all there was to root for at the time.

I just read that Pastner lost 2 more former highly touted recruits in Pookie and Nick King. So, that is 4 highly touted recruits bailing on Pastner in the last 6 months.

So, is it the chicken or the egg? Has Pastner lost control of this program or is he just habitually recruiting the wrong kind of kids for his program? Were it not for the Lawson kids following their dad to Memphis, this would be the second year in a row Pastner was shut out of the top memphis talent.

RE: What in the world is going on
My name is Nick King....I had a hard time seeing playing time this season because my best position is the # 4 spot and I'm only 6'5. We had a couple of guys ahead of me that were way better at that position. I would like to play the 3 spot but my ball handling, free throw shooting, and decision making doesn't make me better than the other guys we have at that position. Next year, they are bringing in these 2 highly sought dudes that play my spots and their dad is a coach on our team. I love Memphis but I think I might need to go somewhere else so I can play the kind of minutes that I'd like to play....Go Tigers.

Nice summary, "Nick". I really hate to see you go but understand that you're just doing what you feel is best for you. Good luck wherever you land - they will be getting a good, gritty-attitude player and Memphis will be losing one.

the Lawson bros are an exceptional case. you should visit more often as I suspect if the lawsons weren't coming, and let me reiterate, this is an exceptional situation, our current coach would in all likelihood be our former coach.

Dam, is it too late for Kentucky to get the Lawsons!? It would be a sacrifice for the better.

if Cal was able to get Eric Bledsoe cleared, then he should also be able to cure cancer and attain world peace. Cause that first item was a lot harder to pull off than the other two.
