Well we are officially playing 8 on 5. DYK: you can't try to go for any offensive rebounds. If you do go up, you'll get a foul called. These referees are beyond terrible. Like, actually horrible.

We were outwomaned today. The p5's are just bigger faster and stronger.

But our base is buying into womans hoops. We are 52-18 over the last two years.

This officiating is actually disgusting. Not just saying that as a biased fan, even our notoriously cynical beat writer Borthrick is complaining about how blatantly horrible this officiating has been in the 2nd half. They have LITERALLY handed Temple the game on a silver platter, calling fouls on MT when they should have been on Temple (OJ rebound) and missing out-of-bounds balls even when video boards in arena CLEARLY show it off Temple. Disgusted with these officials. WTF is wrong with women's basketball referees? Horrible. And to think we might not be in this situation if we hadn't shot 10% in the first half. So frustrated.

We beat ourselves today with unforced turnovers and missed free throws. Without looking at stats but being at the game it seemed like we had close to 10 turnovers where we were making passes several feet over our heads while under the goal as well as making passes too far in front or behind our player going down the court. Overall it was probably over 20 turnovers though. Then with under 10 minutes to play the officials gave us a few questionable calls in our favor but we missed what seemed like 7 out of 10 free throws with 2 of those being the front end of a 1and 1. Lastly, none of our usual 3 point shooters could make a 3. It felt like our main three 3 point shooters combined to go 0 or 1 for 10 or so. Like I said, I was there so those stats might not be 100% accurate but that's what it felt like to me

The officials in womans ball is probably the worst of any sport. Its a clear bias towards p5 teams and womans coaches seem to be able to call their own game more than on the mens side.

Last night i was watching ut and gonzaga and they had two of the crew that we had when we played in the semi's and we had two of them the next day against wku. Last night the lady vols were about to roll over like a hush puppy but the zebras kept them on the foul line till they were back in it.

I looked at the box score and for the most part I was close on the stats. Our main three 3 point shooters (IMO) went 0-6. Our FT shooting for the game was 8 for 17. Surprisingly we only had 14 turnovers as it seemed like we had that in the 1st half alone. I do remember seeing in game tweets where we had 9 turnovers in the first 12 minutes of the game. Also, Michigan's first 10 points were all off turnovers

I watched that too. One of the calls close to the end of regulation that allowed UT-Knoxville to tie it up was an absolutely horrific call that even the ESPN announcers said was absolutely ridiculous to miss - The UT player walked not once, not twice, but THREE times (changed pivot feet) and then they hit a three. Disgusting that these refs could even be involved in a game after a scene like that.

We have one too. Charlie Hust I think is his name. Dick Palmer once said on the radio that there was no other ref he has ever seen that annoys him more. Of course, he is the one who always calls MT games... and was at the Temple game today.

This is a good site for hoops. You can click on a box score for any game, then click the officials name and see everywhere they have called. It even tells how many fouls on the home and visitor.

When the refs came out, I said "Oh sh!t". Told my 2 boys that we had the 2 worst refs I have ever seen calling the game today. The skinny white guy (Hust) and the short haired "woman". She is worse than the guy!!

Refs were bad, but it sounds like we came up against better teams and lost. It was fun though.....

Yep. Hard to win when you shoot 10% in a half. That really screwed us over.
