RE: Rockets in the NFL: 2014
article makes no sense because they say it's all about "the committee" but never reference what "the committee" refers to. either way he isn't the first athlete to screwed in some way, seems like ut was the culprit in this case.

The committee is most likely the interview process the players went through in response to the point shaving situation. As I recall Cadet was buried on the depth chart and left because he wasn't going to play much if at all. That article is nonsense. Either it's sour grapes or he didn't understand what was happening while at Toledo.

RE: Rockets in the NFL: 2014
That story is BS. The committee line and racking up bills is a bunch of BS. Was he on a full ride when he was at UT? If so, those bills were his doing and not UT's issue. If he was a grey shirt or walk on, maybe he had unpaid tuition? Again, not UT's problem and the school wouldn't have let him register for a second semester if he didn't pay. If he was living on campus school, food and lodging was paid for. If he lived off campus he would have gotten a check for the same amount as his scholarship covered.

I've watched college football for 40 of my 41 years on earth (We didn't have cable one year), there is no such thing as a "committee." Unless Cadet was involved in some way with Scooter, the investigation wouldn't have impacted his ability to play football.

Terrible writing. I have no idea what happened and had to wade through sophomore writing to not find out.

Radio Interview with John Greco: http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/news/arti...364e74ff2d

Quote:When you mention leaders of the Cleveland Browns, Joe Thomas, Donte Whitner, Karlos Dansby and Joe Haden come to mind. But around the Browns locker room, the opinion of eight-year veteran John Greco is held on a similar level among teammates.

Also, here's a video clip of an interview with Hawk on one of those ESPN shows: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEr2sMTsyaA&app=desktop

Also, I missed this back in January, but Ross Madison was signed to a futures contract by the Broncos: http://blogs.denverpost.com/broncos/2015...act/32137/

Quote:Madison, 6-foot, 205 pounds, is a former Toledo standout. He went to camp with the Washington Redskins last summer before landing in the Fall Experimental Football League with the Blacktips, where he starred.

The whosawhat league? Never heard of it before now: http://www.fxfl.com/
Apparently the team Madison played for, the Blacktips, doesn't even have a home city and only played road games against the other three teams.

Blade story on Mancz: http://www.bcsn.tv/news_article/show/481..._id=878183

Recovering from shoulder surgery still, so although he's at the combine, he's only participating in interviews.

Here's a note that he interviewed with Cincy: http://www.cincyjungle.com/2015/2/19/807...greg-mancz

Looks like TO first start with the Axemen didn't go very well: http://bemidjiaxemen.com/game-recap-siou...t-bemidji/

He left the game early with a head injury. Hope he's ok.

RE: Rockets in the NFL: 2014
Not quite there yet, but reported on twitter that Josh Hendershot got an invite to the NFL Super Regional combine.

This is a relatively new thing for the NFL. There are a handful of regional combines where graduating seniors who didn't get invited to the regular combine can pay a small fee to attend and get evaluated by some NFL personnel. The best rated players at the regionals get invited to the super regional, which is this weekend in Arizona. All NFL teams are supposed to have their scouts there.

Good luck to Josh.

RE: Rockets in the NFL: 2014
Ran into TJ Fatinikun the other day, here in Tampa. He trains at the same place that I workout...I introduced myself to him...mentioned that I was an ex-Rocket. What a nice guy...could have blown me off and took some time to talk. It's great to see guys that have worked hard to get where they are and remain humble. A great way to represent UT. It sounds like he is going to get a legitimate shot for significant PT at DE this year with the Bucs. He's bigger than I thought...I'm 6'5 230 and he was not much shorter than me...but about twice as wide...would think he's in the 260-265 range, but lean. He's listed at 6'2 250....definitely looked bigger. He's working out with the right group, so he should be in great shape heading into camp this summer.
