RE: FB Spring practice updates
We had 300-400. Played at 9am in the rain. Other planned events cancelled due to weather. Typical USM luck.

4300 at Tech game - kind of rainy but not a bad turnout for our spring game

We have been blowing you out since 2011, I respect your program but there isn't a chance Southern Miss keeps it close this year

Not that it matters but Ohio state had like what? Almost 100k at a spring game? Ridiculous. More people than show up for most nfl games.

First time under the lights. Definitely seems like we will get more students to come out stay if the games arent at noon in 90 degree weather.

The turnout was excellent last night. I hope it carries over to the season. Had a blast! Lights are definitely going to make the experience better for all the fans. I pray for no Noon starts before mid-October.

Putting this guy on ignore is your best option. Im pretty confident this guy is what Marshall fans dealt with for a few years called "GB60 or GreenBison60" he was finally banned by his ISP.

I absolutely agree. I will say however, after seeing our team and new QBs with them, we actually seem to be improved offensively and about the same on D. Butler is much improved, and that is very bad news for opponents, considerng other option is DJ and having 2 QBs that can throw well, and Litton has jets too. Birdsong isn't very good on the ground but can go for a few yards here and there because of his size and being tough to bring down

We don't need Birdsong to run, we need him to make the correct decisions with his rocket arm and fully learn the offense

Not a duel threat QB by any means but the local pot stirrer with the Htn paper says he moves well for 240 lbs.

Really impressive turnout

First event under the lights probably helped some. Still way better than I expected though. I thought we would have 6 or 7k with the actual being 5 or 6

Glad to hear Western will face about the same defense from Marshall...

with BD being in his 19th year, and getting better I guess that means Western will put about 80 points and 750 yards up in that game.

5100 for Western Spring Game and like the rest of you...I saw at least 10 All American players yesterday. Defense was 500% improved and so much larger we had 3 players to bust out their jersey when they flexed. Another one that jumped over the head of the receiver, faster than a speeding bullet, for a INT and and landed on his feet and took it 109 yards. The defense was in the backfield so many times BD had to be taken out mid 2nd qt. Stronger, faster, and can leap tall receivers ...watch out CUSA

Got the first 17 or so minutes before I ran out o data space...forgot to dump the freaking videos I took on road trips in basketball.

11 k that's impressive. We had some where around 5k

First time under the lights. Definitely seems like we will get more students to come out stay if the games arent at noon in 90 degree weather.

Hmmm, that might explain it because I was highly suspect of your numbers (to say the least) considering you averaged about 13K for your games last year. UTSA never has a good crowd for our Spring game even though we have about 15K season ticket holders and average about 29K/game.

That is what happens when your AD has the genius idea to reserve 6K in tickets for students and games start at Noon for no name opponents.
