The $45 million gift will support the excellent Meadows School of the Arts and the Meadows Museum, which houses one of the largest collections of Spanish art outside of Spain

The Trans Am was a gift from A&M. That's why we call it the Trans A&M

Oil, the gift that keeps on giving. Created more people of average intellect that have backed into wealth than all lotteries combined.

LOL

It's a shame it couldn't be used on something that matters. Liberal Arts.. ugh.

There is a difference between fine arts and liberal arts.

But yes, I would have loved to see it go towards Cox, Lyle, or the hard sciences. Regardless, better to have the $45m than not

Don't take liberal arts to be similar to fine arts. Fine arts take years and years of practice to even be considered competent enough to attempt to be professional.

Also...Math is a liberal art.

ECU has three billionaires that I know of: Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon (were at one time anyway) and the guy who owns Golden Corral.

I wish we could get some cash from those first two. Heck $10K so we can make a decent commercial.

Is the Golden Corral guy a billionaire? I know he is loaded but don't see him listed as a billionaire anywhere.

Vince and Linda go back and forth over the $1 billion mark all the time, given how volatile WWE's stock is. It is said that whenever it plummeted from $35/share to $10, he lost over $750 million. Yikes.
