Exclamation Do G5 teams need to be perfect for a shot at the playoff?
Heather Dinich says some interesting things about playoff situations for non-cartel 5 teams. Aresco is quoted and uses Memphis as his example.

Even if we beat Ole Miss and Kansas this year, and go undefeated in conference, we still wouldn't make the playoff. ESPN isn't going to allow that

I don't know. If we consistently have that explosive and fun offense that we showed flashes of last season and somehow go undefeated then I can see ESPN at least pondering about it publicly. Of course a lot of things would have to go the tigers way as in other top teams not named #1 #2 or #3 having 2 losses or more. Ratings would surge even bigger than last year with a true Cinderella storyline
