RE: SMU ROBBED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That shot had no chance of going in. It was an air ball which is why the kid for SMU grabbed it. He was going for the rebound, not a block. Tough to say that he shouldn't have touched it when he was clearly trying to rebound a badly missed shot. I feel bad for the kid. Tough call at that point in the game. SMU still had a chance to win it, though, and shot themselves in the foot.

If that was goaltending by letter of the law, then NC State should never have won that game against Houston as that would have been offensive goal tending by letter of the law.

RE: SMU ROBBED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The refs were not positioned well to call it. No replay by letter of the law.

What I'm wondering about is the bad pass no call.

O well. SMU is not having 'good luck' with the NCAA lately.

RE: SMU ROBBED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Total "blow job" by Larry Brown.....UCLA went into full-court press & trap mode.....Larry was sitting on four timeouts but refused to call any with seconds left to settle his troops.......those guys just needed to settle down as they were extremely excited to have beaten a blue-blood program by the likes of UCLA

this would have easily been one of the gr8est victories in SMU basketball history & it would have been wonderful to see just how far SMU could go! Larry was not feeling well & his judgement allowed SMU to suffer a really tough defeat! That's the TRUETH that I haven't heard or seen .....gr8 coach, but a very disappointing ending to a gr8 run by that group.....they would have easily throttled UAB.....and had a real shot @ FF.....SMU has a gr8 following of notable fans and this run would have been truely HISTORIC

RE: SMU ROBBED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No doubt they earned the loss, but you expect (hope) that the officiating would be better at this level of the game. This isn't some November pre-conference game.

RE: SMU ROBBED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The announcers yesterday while feting UCLA toward the end of the game failed to mention that a blown call was very instrumental in UCLA's advancement. There should be an asterisk in the boxscore for every NCAA game played in the Tourney this year.

Not exactly BREAKING NEWS there Ramen...LOL
He is almost as crazy as the guy wanting to fire Pastner and replace him with an interm coach

Nobody is that crazy. The guy has only been a fan for 2 weeks.

If this was a call against Memphis in just a regular season game, then you would all be acting a lot different. Their play up until that point doesn't excuse a terrible call, and they were winning at that point.

We have fans that see no problem with the officiating and some actually saying that the refs HELPED us in games where it was 22-2 free throws. These Memphis Tiger "fans" would be defending the refs tooth and nail if that call went against us.

That's never happened before. UCLA has never been given a break, especially not in the tourney....
