Question for Bearcat fans...With so much success in the big-boy sports, I'm surprised that Cincinnati has struggled so much in its other sports. Is it a result of bad hires/not enough university support/something else?

It's mostly that nobody cares so it's not a priority. I think our new president/AD combo now care so much about sports that it will probably improve, but overall they are unlikely to gain traction from a fan's perspective. This has been beaten to death on this forum, but it's another byproduct of a market that is stretched thin already by Reds, Bengals, Bearcats fball, Bearcats bball, and other schools. We really don't have the population to support additional teams.

Why they can't win without fans could be a separate question I guess. I think baseball could get there, but of course we are a cold weather city in a warm weather conference as well, which doesn't help much.
