Florida has a one-armed player on its roster. He only played a few garbage minutes this season, but he averaged something like 12 ppg as a senior in high school.

He showed up when I googled "one armed basketball players". If he'50 something it could be the same guy.

I remember that story too, but also cannot recall his name. As I recall he didn't have just one arm, but couldn't move one much at all, but was still able to use it to hold the ball if he brought it down with his good arm. Seem to recall he was a post player, but maybe I am misremembering that.

It was described as a withered arm he was on campus for one semester but was a nonqualifier academically

He had amazing hops but difficulty shooting as I recall. Yes, he was a post player: shot blocker and rebounder.

Wow, the guy never misses! He does seem to have some range. Looks like a nice pairing with Sanford.

That's the guy. I remembered it also as a withered arm. A guy wrestled for Toledo CC last year with the same condition and was pretty damn good. I seem to remember this guy playing a few games for Toledo. Thought he was about 6-7 or so.

Not surprising that all his one-handed dunks are with his left hand. Also noticed he hit a couple of left handed jump shots but all of the 3 pointers were with the right hand. Love the drives and dishes off. Juice was a special player for us, but I think this guy can be all of that, and a little taller. Hope he takes command and leads.

The guy definitely had both arms, but only one was functional.

RE: 3-Star Point Guard Commits to Toledo
I like the posts that speak to toughness in the case of Nick Rogers. I got the impression that the lack of toughness was one of the reasons for "shutting it down" at the end of this season. No matter what happens recruiting wise, I have the feeling that these underclassmen have seen enough self-centered leadership and are sick of it. Nick Rogers attitude and demonstration of mental toughness will play right into the direction this team needs to head. Was around Harvey Knuckles the past two days and Harvey said he is a real good kid. Obviously bias but I'll take Harvey's eval any day of the week. He said we'd be telling him soon his distant relative was a real good get for Toledo.

I would agree with all your observations above!!! great post and if Harvey says he is a good kid and can play I need no further endorsement!!!

Ironically, his injury to his right hand forced him to develop lefty skills. Now he can shoot & dribble with either hand.

Yep, he certainly can go to his left!

I think Coach K should look at 6-6 Ben Casanova at Southview.
