Actually I said EMU football. Back in 1995 I gave them a 20 year deadline to have a winning season.

When does your fandom run out on MBB? Can I put that on my calendar?
Its on it's last legs. I'm used to rooting for winning EMU teams. Sorry, you wouldn't know anything about that.

This is O/T for this thread, but I'd like to add NDSU and UNI all sports to the MAC.

That would get BobW back on board as a MAC fan, but probably an UNI fan... 03-lmfao

Oh man, if anything should motivate this team to succeed, it should be the bandwagon fandom of a chauvinist troll. I'm sure Murphy and staff are taking notes.

I've been saying for years that UNI would be perfect for the MAC...I hope they add them, they would love to join the MAC. Of course, I will always root for EMU, been doing it since I was 10 and will always bleed green and white. I am just frustrated as hell. I stormed the field when we beat BG to win the MAC back in 1987, I just want to freaking WIN again!!!!!!!

I like NDSU and UNI, both have dome FB stadiums. NDSU is lights out good in football. UNI is lights out good in hoops.

In the past, the MAC has added football teams NOT ready for prime time. NDSU is (ready for prime time) and UNI is close.

Both would be big adds in their respective sports.

B1G added Maryland in men's AND women's hoops. Both big pluses.
Maryland is what #2 in men's B1G hoops and #1 in B1G's women's hoops.

Dear Bob,
I know where you stand with Keno Davis, and I'm not a particular fan of Hurley of Buffalo, but I have to root for Buffalo. As I have said many times before, I can never support Central.

I do respect what CMU has done this year. And I am happy for their success (and jealous).

I have no problem rooting for WMU or CMU as MAC teams, ie in non-confernence or tourneys. I like the MAC community and the better MAC teams are the better for EMU. I feel like I should be preferential to the other MI schools within the MAC. But I am not at all. Instead, I feel more a sense of rivalry, like you Ken. Plus we compete with them more than other MAC schools for recruits, so it is beneficial to EMU if they are less successful.

I hate to say, I will be rooting for Buffalo also.

Steve, UNI would be a big add in football too. They routinely beat Iowa State and/or Iowa every so often...they had the state's best RB this year in the dynamic David Johnson who will get a look in the NFL. They damn near sell out the UNIdome every home game. If we could get them for football only, it would be an upgrade over UMass whose heart really wasn't in it. UNI would be a grateful MAC member! I would love to see it happen.

No way! I'm green and white all the way but I think he is doing a great job for CMU...ultimately, it looks like my boy Bobby Hurley is going to get it done for Suny-Buffalo.

RE: CBI Tourney
BTW, the more I think about things I have no problem with these 'pay to play' tourneys.

I ASSUME (don't know for fact) but it is a way get funds from the HOME team for the tourney which HOPEFULLY uses some of it to compensate ROAD teams with their travel expenses.

It's sports business, e.g., college hoops, football, etc.: home team gets the gate while the road team gets a guarantee to help with expenses.

I assume if we play one road game (and lose) we do not have to pay but will get some $ for travel expenses.

We lose $ if expenses > income from the tourney (for expenses).
