Exclamation My Offensive Breakout players for 2015/2016
breakout as in on the league level not the national level (those would be gunner, ward, paxton and reynolds) but rather unknown names in our league on any level that could becomes staples for our league are:

Memphis

Doroland Dorceus (JR) RB- Memphis's leading rusher prior to his injury game 4, look for him to try to make a big return 2014

Cinci

Mike Boone
(Soph) RB- step in as a freshmen for a injured and depleted UC backfield last year and out played the player he had replaced. look for him to have a great year a s a potential full year starter

UCF

Tristan Payton (freshman) WR- UCF will be graduating its entire Recieving core next year, look for true freshmen WR payton to be one of the main targets to benefit from that, the highest rated recruit in UCF history

[Image: com_140418_RN_NFTC_ORL_Tristan_Payton.jpg]

ECU

Trevon Brown (soph) WR- as ecu tries to re-find its identity after losing carden and hardy the deep threat of brown should help which ever qb steps in as he returns from injury

Houston

Demarcus Ayers (junior) WR- already a touted returner look for him to take major steps in his role as a reciever as the only returning WR starter for houston, as he also became a major target for ward to close out the season

[Image: 460978982-houston-wide-receiver-demarcus...iZsdRBM%3D]

Temple

Jahad Thomas (Junior) RB- the high school teammate of PJ walker step in at times for temple and produced significantly for them. with the graduation of harper look for jahad thomas to be the main RB for temple as they push to resurge their offense

South Florida

Ryeshene Bronson (soph) WR - the former high school all american on paper should be in a for a major year, with the graduation of davis and him looked as the player to step into his shoes. Bronson should also benefit from tUSF switch to an uptemp system

Tulane

Teddy Veal (soph) WR- the large crop of freshmen players for tulane looked to take the next step as sophmore, and teddy veal could be tthe main target for tulanes passing attack

[Image: 458225452-teddy-veal-of-the-tulane-green...ngzQ%3D%3D]

Tulsa

Zach Langer (senior)- not really a break out star as he is already one of the most productive players in the league but one of least talked about or creditted RBs, look for him to push to get him name out there in the coming season

SMU

Darius Joseph (senior) WR- smu will look to create a up tempo powerful passing attack and it goes into its new chapter under chad morris, look for darius joseph and his senior leadership to be one of the main benficiaries

[Image: Darius+Joseph+SMU+v+Connecticut+qyQoGrYGfzml.jpg]

UConn

Ron Johnson (soph) RB- his role on uconn grew as the season progressed, he pushed his way on the depth chart from 3rd string to starter, look for him to be a key componenet in the the new uconn offense next year

[Image: 10.13FootballvsTemplebyTroyCaldeira-e1413175828388.jpg]

NAVY

Chris Swain (SR) FB- swain has increased his production at Navy every year since joining, look for him to be the second option on navy next to reynolds next year

Another really good thread by you! I agree with Trevon Brown fitting the mold of what you are describing for ECU.

Not to derail the thread, as I know this wasn't really your main point, but I would include Zeek Bigger from ECU in those who could break out on a national level.

He was top 30 in solo tackles among returning players and 6th in total tackles among returning players nationally. He also had 2 INTs including one returned for a TD and 6 passes defensed which is pretty good for a LB. Not the flashiest player but very good.

Pesik. Nice thread. I am not sure about Tristan Payton at UCF. O"leary generally plays freshmen very very little...although he nay have to Payton this season.

Also, I enjoy watching Zach Langer play. he is coming off a good season... I just wonder is he is fast enough or has enough moves to top last season..he is pretty much a straight ahead bruiser from what I have seen of him. I hope he continues to do well though.

Bishop Louie for Tulsa. He was extremely impressive for his limited play time he had last season.

You got it wrong for Memphis. The breakout player for us is going to be Roderick Proctor Soph. WR. Dorceus would be my second choice though

Unfortunately, I don't think Boone will have a chance. Both of the RB's who were lost for the season (Hosey Williams and Ti'on Green) were granted an extra year and will be healthy for the upcoming season. It'll be interesting, honestly, I could see all three of them having 500 yards or so when the season is over if they stay healthy.

No you can't lol. Proctor had a bunch of senior in front of him but still managed to work his way into the starting lineup. He will be utalize to the max now.

UC will definitely be running back by committee. Boone is the most explosive of the bunch but it is isn't if Hosey and Tion are slouches. Both started in 2013 and were #1 and #2 on the depth chart in 2014 before going down to injury. They averaged 4-5 yards a carry in 2013.

UC's #4 RB will likely be Sophomore Bobby Brown. He looked promising in relief duty last year as well.

he hasn't been named the starter yet...and you brought in 2 qbs including a JC despite the fact kurt has 3 years eligibility left and carden the only graduating qb of the 5 on the roster..

i think kurt will win the job but let's not act like he's already won it or that the coach are even treating him like he's the heir apparent..look like your coaches are looking to create competition this offseason

memphis isn't a passing team even if rodrick rose to the top of memphis WR's (Mose Frazier might have something to say about that) he'd probably only be around 500yd recieving

Doroland Dorceus if healthy and if he returns to memphis top rusher could push for 1000yds rushing

Joseph of SMU had like a million catches against ECU last year. If he's breaking out this year he might catch 2 million. Actually it was 13 catches, but it seemed like many more.

Memphis is a balanced team. A breakout can happen in the run or pass. Proctor made big plays in the UCLA game and towards the end of the season. He was a quality player coming out of the 2014 class with P5 offers. Frazier doesn't have the pure talent Proctor has. Proctor became a starter as a true freshman halfway through the season over 2 senior who played well for us. Even the guys that cover our team for Rivals and 247 have Proctor pegged to have a breakout year. Speed kills and he has that.

Thomas is a good choice for Temple considering he's the leading returning rusher and receiver. I wouldn't be surprised to see him eclipse 1,400 all purpose yards. DJ Foster from ASU is a good comp.

Our passing attack will be on fire this season but we have a lot of different pieces. Dorceus has the same. There 6 RB competing for that position, and it's a solid stable.

For UCF I would guess Tre-Quan Smith at WR. Scout player of the year and he would have been on the field as a true freshman if we weren't so deep at WR. O'Leary raves about him and he hardly ever does that for a freshman

Just due to GOL'S stubbornness it will either be stanback or jordan akins. Gonna be a wear u down, grind it out offense or run up the middle 3 times and punt. All depend[/u]s on the o-line

RE: My Offensive Breakout players for 2015/2016
I'm no expert by any means, but followed ECU football for over 30 years. My prediction isn't an individual player, but my breakout would be the offensive line in 2015. We will be Sr. dominated added a very good JUCO OT along with a top eight that have played a lot of football. Also upgraded OL coach with Brad Davis in the offseason. This combined with excellent depth at RB and this could very well be our most dominate oline group since our 96 team IMHO.
