Jason Richman National Player of the Week
http://gseagles.com/news/2015/3/2/BSB_0302153414.aspx

Named a Louisville slugger national player of the week after his performance in the Georgia series. He's become one of my favorite Diamond Eagles of all time

Richman is an awesome kid from what I've heard. What he overcame last year was incredible. I couldn't imagine going through that.

Best pitcher in the conference not starting. Can't figure it for the life of me.

Bullpen guys don't always make great starters. Ever thought maybe its what makes Richman so good?

But hey, its all Rodney's fault right?

Well .... That speaks volumes.

Could be any number of good reasons. Maybe don't try to critique what you don't understand?

Depends on what you think is more useful?

I can have my best pitcher on once a week for 5 to 7 innings. Or I can have him on 4 times a week for 2 or 3 innings (read 8 to 12 total innings). I think he's served best right now exactly where Coach Hennon has him. I DO agree that he's gotten pulled a bit early a few times but I like the strategy of having a relief guy come in mid game EVERY game that we can trust.

A submarine style pitcher usually does best out of the pen. You don't want the line up seeing him 2 to 3 times. They start to pick up on his release points. When he goes pro he will be used the exact same way.

Very true. Good middle relief is always in demand.

Richman was credited with 2 wins last weekend. Would GS have won both if he had started one of them?
