I just saw that Parker has been released from the team, do you guys have a answer or does that put a nail in things?

Might not put a nail in things but this hurts, for sure.

Have to completely re-work the offense. We struggled immensely against UAB without her. They just seem lost on that end. Defense is okay, but offensively they just aren't clicking like they were.

It was a devastating blow. With Parker, I would have still considered MT a slight favorite to win the tournament. Without her, and with the mental state of the team (blowing leads left and right), I wouldn't give MT more than a 10% chance of winning the tournament.

Tournament Chances
WKU 70-75%
USM 20-25%
MT 5-10%
Everyone else 0-5%

Parker made a bigger difference on defense than on the other end. She is long and plays much taller than she is. Much more athletic than the post you had a year ago.

Strongly disagree on that part. Rowe was much more athletic. But the rest sounds pretty much spot-on.

WKU has not really said besides vague statements, but the vibe I am getting is that its not good....Also people saw her on crutches at mens game, so my guess is her career is over...

Gootch causes so many headaches you can still win without Govan.

We did last season only because NOble can really play and she took up the scoring void left by Govan in mid DEc......Noble really uped her scoring last week (CUSA POW)however that was against bad teams, hopefully she can score against some of the better teams as well like she did last season...We needed Govan to advance far in the NCAA tournament, now not sure what we can do with her possibly out....Its ok though everyone is playing for 2nd anyway, UCONN=UCLA in the 60's for the men...

I wouldn't count Baylor in the NCAA tournament a bad team. Noble is more than able to pick up the scoring. So is Tashia Brown, and Ivy Brown. No doubt losing Govan will hurt, but I still think our team is strong.

I hate that MTSU lost Parker. She was a force down low.

She really held the team together. It has been tough without her. The main backup, Tianna Porter, was unfortunately sidelined with a knee injury shortly before Parker was dismissed, so that has complicated things further. She only played a few minutes against UAB and had to wear a brace.

Govan played 19 minutes last night and had 7 points and 6 boards..Not sure why its so secretive, but no one is disclosing what is wrong with her so I guess last night was a start for her..
