This appears to be the likely finish. 6th place no bye game

Will get to beat up a pathetic Houston team in a first round game.

Beating Houston for a third time will mean they will account for 16.7% of our wins (3 of 18).......impressive.

Lose in 2nd round of conference tournament.

Lose in first or second round of NIT.

He took such a beating on here yesterday I think he went into self imposed exile to plot his revenge.

I hope Bowen is calling the Auburn AD tomorrow asking for permission to talk to their coach as soon as they lose in the SEC tournament.

Memphis cannot afford to go after Pearl with their pursuit of another conference at the moment.

That is simply not true.

Will it happen? Probably not, but trying to get into a new conference will have zero bearing on us hiring Pearl.

Chances are Pastner gets another season. Its just the way it is.

We will be waiting for years to get into better conference. Spend the money for Pearl and worry about conference affiliation when we get to that bridge.

Yes it does when your reputation is on the line as to why you should be invited. It plays a factor into the consideration with other schools of said conference. It will be a coach with not as much baggage at the moment

I wouldn't go after those kind of hires till that decision is made.

It is a good thing message board posters making important decision about the university. They would burn it to the ground.

What?

It's a good thing 18-19 year old posters on this board don't make decisions for the University either Ramen.

I hope we don't let the Power 5 pipe dream keep us from doing what is best for the cash cow within our athletic department.

There was a great article on Yahoo today about how "cheating pays". Ya know who said those words? The Big 12 commish...

The article went on to list a number of coaches who are in the HoF with questionable track records. Point being: there's no real consequences - winning is everything at the highest level.

I'd call BP in a heartbeat.

Yep. He's my number one choice, even over Marshall. If neither of those work out, put a huge offer in front of Archie Miller and make him say no.

I think we could quadruple Archie's salary and still be under what Josh makes.
