For the record, I absolutely think WMU has the ability to come into DeKalb and beat NIU this year. It's going to be one of the highlight games on the schedule along with Toledo so long as Peej is there.

Huskies could conceivably have 3 conference losses by this game... wouldn't shock me to see us beat them here, but I don't have the stones to call it yet.

Against who?

@CMU
vs. Ball State
@ Miami
vs. EMU
@ Toledo
@ Buffalo

You think NIU is going to go 3-3 in that stretch after losing 2 conference games the last 5 years?

For whatever reason, NIU struggles with CMU so if you want to put that on there, sure maybe. Ball State, Miami, EMU should be relatively easy. @ Toledo is obviously a possible loss. Buffalo should be a win.

Worst case could they have three losses? Sure, maybe. Not sure how anybody would be expecting/predicting that though.

I said "could conceivably"... not "expect" or "predict"... read.

NIU got pounded by the Chips at home last year, barely escaped Miami at home, Toledo will probably an L, and Buffalo won't be a gimme.

Sorry to disappoint you, but NIU is going to be better in 2015 than they were in 2014. And lol @ Toledo probably being an L.

NIU was up 51-34 against Miami before a garbage time TD and it was never less than a two possession game after the first quarter. "Barely escaped" is an interesting way to describe that game.

Seriously, you see UT as a win.

You do understand that Ely will likely be back and you wont be facing a team with a wide receiver playing QB.

Again a fluke goal line fumble is the only thing that gave you the momentum to come back in Kalamazoo. You almost lost to EMU at EMU. You were crushed at home by CMU.

Everybody told you that your team was not nearly as good as their record, and sure enough Marshall just ran you out of the stadium.

Well gee, if everybody is just bringing back the exact same teams with the exact same experience level next year I look forward to WMU not being able to move the ball at all in the 2nd half at Huskie Stadium next year.

Seriously, 2014 was NIU's down there. Congrats, it took NIU some breaks to win the West this year. Be proud. You sure told us!

NIU with more postseason wins in a down year than WMU has in their entire history. What a drag.

I think if you know how to read I clearly said "Toledo is obviously a possible loss."

An 11 point win over EMU, another near loss!

Also, shouldn't you be consulting your lawyers?

Notice the 21,000 posts, that takes persistence. Gives a little spice, which is good.

I would like to know the years that "7" played at NIU. Do you care to answer?

Always proud to be a Bronco, RTB.

Well, here is what I think 2015 NIU's chances will be...

@CMU [75% - A bit higher out of spite; WMU fans can't complain]
vs. Ball State [60% - BSU will be improved, possibly most improved; NIU can feel comfort that it's at home]
@ Miami [60% - Miami may as well, too; Miami's TD wasn't merely garbage time against NIU at the end due to already scoring over 30 pts]
vs. EMU [75% - You'd think higher, but EMU challenged NIU last year, and EMU is going to be better this year; NIU could be too relaxed and have to work for it 2nd half]
@ Toledo [40% - Basically, advantage -- Glass Bowl. Toledo's pissed at NIU. And they'll be good.]
@ Buffalo [65% - Buffalo may not be quite as easy as one may think; this one could be tough or be easy with coaching change, etc]

= 3.75W - 2.25L
NIU Fans: Frustrated @3-3, Expect @4-2, Happy @5-1, Thrilled-as-Hell @6-0 going into it.

Suppose Kings is suspended/not available for our game. Serious questions: Who is MSU's top returning WR? And who is MSU's top returning RB?

I don't doubt that MSU has future stars waiting in the wings at the skill positions, but I also don't think they just plug in and replace guys like Langford, Lippett, Mumphrey, and (potentially) Kings without going through at least a bit of a transition period.

Yep. It could be our time to Strike. With the Power of PJ Fleck and the strength of a thousand field mice, we could get the atmosphere Rolling and seeing blood. After all, in our 1-11 year we lost by 13. Terrell's first college pass was a TD in East Lansing. Could this be our moment? It could. We're going to be more pumped up for the game than they.

Can't wait to see the game. I'm sure Kzoo is going to be ROCKING on that Friday Night, with freshman girls far from being in librarian mode...

Unfortunately MSU will not have Andrew Maxwell playing QB this year.

Fondly remembering how we improved from game to game last year.

From Idaho to Idaho, our team progressed exceptionally. Hope to see that continue! 6 months until MSU...

MSU almost loses all of their main skill positions on offense besides quarterback which is the most important, but losing these players can only help! RTB

For sure in a first game will hurt them. Even with great recruits it takes awhile for a new offense to get acclimated. On the flip side we have new DBs who will have to get acclimated under very tough circumstances.

MSU has recruited well the last two years getting a number of four star type players. I'm sure they won't show up looking dazed and confused. Talent it talent.
