RE: Legal Question: Stallings vs C. Jones
Here is the full quote, courtesy of The Tennessean:
"Get the (expletive) up here. Whose face did he get in?" said Stallings, according to ESPN's transcript of the audio. "(Expletive) apologize. Mother (expletive) we don't do that. I'll (expletive) kill you. (Expletive) mouthing off. (Expletive) I told you a hundred times."
Note to Stallings: the era when coaches can publicly curse and threaten players without consequences has ended.

Mic up coach Cal or coach K and make a big deal about that. The only reason it's a big story is b/c Stallings doesn't win big, so the media is going to bully him for things that many coaches do and say.

I think enterprising reporters and commentators will now expose similar rants regardless of the source. It is too good and easy of a storyline to pass up for the lazy media starved for content in the present 24/7 environment.

I saw the Stallings incident. The language was somewhat annoying, but the threat and the way it was delivered was extremely disturbing
For one thing, "I'll effing kill you" is most often used by very unstable folks who are definitely threatening real harm.
And I've heard Cal's nasty mouth and seen his demeanor when he drops the f bombs. This Stallings thing went beyond.
As someone else mentioned, though, it was impressive that the player Stallings unleashed the rant on had his back.

We can agree to disagree on this. I remember cal calling Earl Barron a f*****g p****y. His demeanor was just a threatening. If coaches are willing to say stuff like that on the court/field you bet they take to another level in practice. Heck, I heard just as bad coming from high school coaches.
Don't get me wrong, I think they all should be taken to task, and not just piling on Stallings b/c we doesn't win big.

No biggie. Different opinions don't bother me. Lol. You got one too many stars in p***y, though.
It's the word 'kill'...not the words that get starred out ****** that bugs me. I'm going to f*****g kick your ass would have been tolerable.
Perhaps our differing reactions are just based on different experiences. Anytime I've seen someone got to the point where he screamed he was going to kill, the situation escalated to beyond tolerable...lol.
