Where anywhere in this thread did I say Pastner sucks? This is what is wrong with posters like you. Someone makes a thread calling others idiots. I disagree with that approach. You lie about what I posted. Do you see how ridiculous you have become? And as far as spending every waking moment attacking Pastner-back that up with anything close to a truth. I hardly post at all. I'd say (without actually knowing) that most of my posts concern football. And I've posted a total of less than 60 posts. So again, back it up, or just admit that you are a liar.

It's sad that his repeated bannings for calling out fans apparently hasn't helped.

Tisk tisk

I don't understand why a board would allow any single poster to be the source of 80% of all the venom that takes place.
But they will ban hoopsdreams, who was a great poster. I don't get it

I'm assuming that HoopDreams doesn't have as many "friends" as Stammers

Judging by his reputation, him and Snowtiger are very close "friends"

Just not looking thru red glasses. Was one of first of "on the fence" regarding Pastner to call for his dismissal at the end of THIS season. Get your facts straight. That doesn't mean he lost last nights game. Anyone with basketball knowledge would know that in the context that I said it.

The fact is you started ANOTHER THREAD attacking posters who have a different opinion than yours. Thank you for your great basketball knowledge. I don't know where the board would be with only 999 threads saying the exact same thing. Your knowledge contributed through post

I'm by no means a fan boy but since you clearly put the blame squarely on Pastner, what specifically in this game do you think lost it for us? What coaching decisions cost us this game?

They only thing I put on him was putting KJ back in the game with a few mins in the first half to pick up his third.

You guys are completely missing the point. I don't care about in-game coaching. It's pretty clear to me that Josh doesn't know how to coach a team in practice. After all his time here we still have no real offensive plan on the vast majority of our possessions. Throughout the game you saw SMU's ability to create open shots through a structured offense. Shows what competent coaching can do. Meanwhile we're passing around the three line, unable to create anything.

This ^^^^. The in-game adjustments/strategy/substitutions stuff is peanuts compared to our lack of everything related to team execution.

We didn't make the tournament 4 years in a row? What trophy?

There's 68 teams in the tournament, somebody has to make it.

Not Mike Anderson, Jamie Dixon, Mark Turgeon, John Groce, Bruce Weber, Frank Martin, Buzz Williams. Tom Crean went through an 8 year period where he won 1 NCAA game. It took Mick Cronin 7 years before he won his first NCAA tournament game. Jamie Dixon hasn't been to the Sweet 16 in 5 years and won't even make the tournament this year.

Cal had 1 NCAA win his first 5 seasons here, and while we are at it; let's see how Ollie does once all of his players are settled in.

The bottom line is that there are reasonable people like me who aren't satisfied with where we are right now; but I'm not like a lot of the simpletons here that think that making the NCAA tournament means that you had a **** season.

The problem is you don't know anything about basketball and it's more apparent each time you post. We are a horribly coached team that plays bad defense and runs a bad offense. We win games by playing in a conference with a bunch of lesser schools in terms of basketball and playing s bunch of cream puffs.

The other thing that a lot of the pastner defenders can't see is that, even if you like pastner, even if I and the 70% or whatever % of the fan base it is that is turned off by this era are stupid and over reactive and irrational and whatever else you want to say, pastner still has to go.

He's lost the city and most of the fan base. It's only going to get worse. What % of the fans does he have to lose before he needs to go? 90? 95?

Forget this game. Go watch 5 minutes of the 2008 NCAA T against Texas, MS, or UCLA, then ask the question, in the years since is Tiger basketball as good as or worse? Six years in you should not be going backward. It's the Wayne Yates years all over again. If you don't have guards, then who builds that roster? If you don't have a go to scorer, who builds that roster? If you slow guards that can't defend, who builds that roster? If you have players that don't respect you, who's responsibility is that? Everything rises and falls on leadership. So the state of Tiger b ball starts with the President, then the AD, then the Head Coach. I love the Tigers but have lost confidence in our ability to turn this program into exciting basketball.

It seems like misgivings and doubts have crept into this situation, the kind that lead me to question exactly where 'leadership' is planning to go. Sometimes I get the feeling that 'they' have lost a certain degree of interest in the BB program--just in general.

In any case, my misgivings about where our BB program might be headed also include all those involved in the decisions making processes--including the allocating of money to the program. This could be because I am a results now oriented person. So I am taking my own uncertainty with some grains of salt. It is getting more difficult, however.

There seems to be something lacking from the top that trickles on down to all those involved as this situation develops.

Amazing we were in it at all. Not that Josh did anything spectacular; just not a whole lot he could have done differently to win.

There seems to be something lacking from the top as this situation develops.
