Where are you guys staying?

For convenience to the arena, there's a new restaurant district called Uptown in walking distance from the arena and next to the Westin hotel.

Since the shirts are in short supply.....maybe some group could do ribbons...a la pink for Breast Cancer. Make them green and somehow get "Free UAB" on them. Probably too late to have ribbons printed but maybe a printed attachment. I like "Solidarity...Free UAB! Pass them around in the stands and ask for a $1 donation to offset costs. If that's illegal inside catch fans outside the arena.

Also just an FYI, if you're staying at a hotel further out and driving to the arena parking for the Thursday night games could be tougher since there's a John Mellencamp concert in the concert hall part of the BJCC. Or if you want to stick around Bham an extra day, there's a Santana concert in the arena on Sunday the 15th.

A little outside of Birmingham but I always enjoyed a jumbo chopped pork sandwich from The Golden Rule. One thing was I never liked their fries until I asked for crispy. I only liked the one in Irondale and Hoover. I think they expanded into a few new stores. Those were not good.

They had plenty when I was in the store Saturday...

I just talked to the manager and they are not sold out in the store. He is getting with their IT people to make sure the inventories are updated online so that all sizes are available for ordering. In the mean time, if you want you can call the Snoozy's directly to order a #FreeUAB tshirt...205-328-2665

Swing through the drive thru at a Milo's Hamburgers location if you have the chance. Cheap and not half bad burgers.
