Freddie "The People's Champ" Jackson, Addison Spruill and Cedrick Williams....much like a few Senior classes we've had the last several years, you three experienced a tumultuous period in UNCW hoops. But you stuck with it and have been big reasons why this has been such a special first season in the Coach Keatts era. Thank you for all your contributions!

I'm looking forward to a great sendoff Wednesday night, and hopefully one that results in a big W.

This will undoubtedly be one of the best Senior nights in years. Freddie and Spruill both hail from Eastern North Carolina. And for them to end their careers on a winning note, and to be a part of the new era in UNCW Men's basketball, will never be forgotten.

If we can somehow continue our success through the Keatts era and then beyond, this will be the team and players we all remember. Congrats!

So the normal PA guy won't be available tomorrow night. I have the honor and privilege of stepping in and announcing the Senior ceremony. I'll try not to mess it up too badly.

I'm not sure who that was but yeah, I always try to just be straight up and not embellish. It's supposed to be about the players, not the announcer. And this is coming from someone with a massive ego.

Feel free to squeeze in a "Baby Shaq" Spruill for me though. Just once. Don't be scared...

Note that they'll be doing the Senior ceremony pregame at 6:45, not halftime, for those planning to tune in via SDN. Apparently there's an Academic awards ceremony scheduled at halftime.

They had me announce Freddie, by his choice, as the "People's Champ" during Midnight Madness (when I also filled in). I wonder if they'll let me do that again.

That's a nice honor SB08! Big night for the seniors and a great chance to stay in the race!

I still like "country strong" for Spruill.
