He still wants to coach as a lead assistant....He is very close to Earl Watson & I think that would be an amazing pair here!

If given the opportunity to interview for the position, a source says Watson would enlighten Jazz management on a blueprint to assemble a veteran coaching staff around him to help him through the initial rigors of having never coached in the league. And he has a key assistant prospect. CSNNW.com



Watson played for Brown for three seasons in Memphis, back when Watson said he "didn’t know anything about the NBA, I was just a blank canvas. His influence has, I guess, cultured me, and made me the man I am today." The two usually talk about family, Watson said, and basketball. But Watson has more specific things to discuss with Brown these days. "This summer, though, I want to spend time with him in New Jersey so I can get his philosophy on coaching strategy," Watson said. The reason? Watson knows his playing days are numbered. He said he likes to have a plan two or three years out, and by then, he knows it could be time to transition into coaching. If he is too bad for the UofM.. He will probably win a few more games with the Lawson's coming in but when it comes down to it it will be much the same..

Josh won't get fired, but the required staff changes/hires may force Josh to seek employment elsewhere. I can guarantee that if Josh does return, there will be additional player defections at the end of this season.
