No biggie. I believe that was our first HR allowed all weekend. And it was a solo shot. When we go yard we do it with runners on!

It was the first allowed by a UNCW pitcher all year!

8-4, WF still at the plate. UNCW going to the pen after Gantz issued a 2 out free pass.

Scalf went with the LH freshman... Whitman Barnes.

Barnes gets the fly ball to Linkous and we go to the stretch up 8-4.

WFU sends their 1B Will Craig to the mound in the bottom of the 7th.

Going to the top of the 8th, still leading 8-4.

Shepley straight dealing. It will be very nice if he and Barnes can be dependable lefties for us.

Yep! That was dominance right there! K'd the first two batters and got the third to pop a foul out on the right side.

Having two of those wins over an ACC opponent is nice too! Especially with a series looming against FSU. Confidence boosters. Not gonna lie though, it'd be nice if we could end this streak of having to come from behind so much. LOL

Don't forget about the Maestro too. And Roberson/Crump/Barnes/others have all had good moments too. When the Regionals come around you need an arsenal of arms out of the pen.

Woohooo!! Perfect start to the season! I wish we could have gotten our shots to play Kentucky and NC State, but we've played and beaten everyone on our schedule so far.

Can't wait to see how the 4 major polls turn out. I hope we get some love.
