Yeah that's just bizarre to me.

Makes sense. Temple is a good team for Charlotte to host and a good trip for Temple.

We're starting to expand recruiting into NC. We got Jager Gardner from WNC, who was offered by UVA. Matt Rhule, our OC Marcus Satterfield, and our DB coach Fran Brown all coached or played at WCU. It's a fertile recruiting area for us to get our name out and a game we should win.

Charlotte I predict will be like UTSA and actually able to get home and homes in the future with bigger named schools. Maybe not as successful (UTSA --->better recruiting area, better tourist area and better facility) but I think you'll see upper G5 and lower P5 schools starting to agree to visiting Charlotte.

RE: 2015 Schedule Release
Some notes: Army/Navy is still scheduled after the champ game; TV is not yet set for the champ game...either ABC or ESPN; Memphis has two ESPN games and one ESPN/2 scheduled so far which is head and shoulders above last year...interesting to see how that plays out ratings wise.

Too early for pre spring game predictions?

Ya...

UCONN has this stretch with no bye week:

@ Missouri
Navy
@ BYU
@ UCF
USF
@ Cincinnati
East Carolina

Difficult run right there.

RE: 2015 Schedule Release
To me, it looks like we (Tulsa) got the worst schedule of the bunch. The only possible homecoming game is Last year's conference champions due to them sandwiching us with two aways and one home in early fall. Plus, that game is on a Friday evening during Octoberfest. Any casual fans we might have got will be at Octoberfest if the game starts at 7 or later

I prefer this approach to playing random P5 scattershot across different conferences. Want ACC schools to get familiar with us.

03-lmfao

well, half a foot anyways. Try to keep up with realignment.

03-lmfao Yeah, I grew up in Maryland and haven't wrapped my mind around the B1G concept yet. Still feels too weird.

In any event, we have a great lineup of P5 OOC games, and Maryland is in ACC territory so playing them gives us that same exposure. I hope playing in ACC territory and against ACC teams is a conscious strategy to build a relationship, it is wise for us to do so.

I don't think losing to 2-3 acc teams a year will make a difference

it's so cool looking at the schedules to see only 1 bye rather than the 2 or 3 that we saw last year. should make for a much better season overall...

4 of last 6 at home, just 3 non-saturday games... I like it better than last year's schedule.

Plus 2 of the non-Saturdays are away.

I don't like Navy sandwiched in between Florida and Virginia Tech. Also playing Temple on a Thursday after playing on Saturday but I guess that will be ok if Temple plays on that Saturday as well.

Not only that but last year there was an extra week to get all the games done(due to the calendar). There's like 2 years where the calendar sets up to have an extra weekend in the fall(basically hinges on when Labor Day is). So while last year started Aug 30, this year it's Sep 5 start date.

Yup...the Carolinas like Florida and Ohio are solid recruiting areas for P5 schools and they will get some Home and Homes...
