Yall dont like Barefoot?
I personally don't have a problem with her but i think some people don't like her because though she's a great recruiter, get in game coaching is not always great and i think some people just have really high expectations for the women's team due to the success of the past

For the record, UALR had better wins and their worst loss wasn't NEARLY as bad as WKU's loss to UTSA.
.
Not that much difference between who UALR beat than WKU other than maybe Oklahoma.
Tulane, UALR lost at home by 16, WKU beat them at a neutral location by 5.
ULAR beat LSU at LSU by 16 while WKU beat Ole Miss @ home by 29, LSU & Ole Miss both finished 17-13.
WKU lost to Louisville and Miss State which are both better than South Dakota State who UALR lost too.
Finally I would not consider Troy significantly better than UTSA.

It didn't used to be this bad, but now its like no other teams outside the UCONN exist
FIxed that for you...
ESPN is a joke....Just rename the NCAA tournaments to the UK and UCONN invitational...Both teams may win each tourny in a cakewalk, possibly, but can you freaking not give any mentions to any other teams in America? Is that too hard to do? Not one word about WKU other than a second on name, than it was onto breaking down UCONN going to restroom at halftime...Continues to get worse and worse...
I hope our girls take this as a slap in the face and take care of business..I do agree team can go on a longer run with a 12th than 7,8,9 or 10..Still a slap in the face....
Just unbelievable to think we would have been left out at 29 and 5 for a 19 and 13 Miami team more than likely or even a Tulane team we beat...If not had been left out I guess we would have been a 12th seed, so winning CUSA tournament basically meant nothing in committees eyes which is a joke in itself....Was the Sun Belt better as a conf. RPI than CUSA?
We can beat TExas as they turn the ball over a lot which does play into our hands...HOwever they are huge and we are not exactly a great rebounding team, so that may be bad for us....I will give us the experience and quickness over Texas so I think we can beat them...

Sunbelt got a 11 seed?
The selection committe for this tournament rewards the big teams more than anything I've ever seen. Iowa State was over 10 spots behind AState in the RPI coming in, but they got into the tournament and we didn't.
UT Chatanooga lost like 3 games all year, including beating a Tennessee...and they are a 7 seed with Tennessee as the 2 in their bracket.

WKU beat Tulane (49), MT (60), USM (80), Albany (82) and Ole Miss (100).
UALR beat Oklahoma (23), Ark St twice (47) and LSU (54). So I think UALR's wins are significantly better than WKU's. WKU gets the benefit of one more top-100 win but UALR has a top-25 win and three top-50 wins.
Troy had an RPI of 116 opposed to UTSA's 204. That UTSA loss was significantly worse.
I am NOT justifying WKU's seeding. I am simply explaining how the committee could justify the seed.
What it really points to is the need for our top 4-5 programs to be in the top-75 and for the bottom 3-5 programs to get out of the 250+s.

If there was ever any confusion over the BIAS of the Powers that be toward Cartel 5 institutions; look no further than Chattanooga's and Western's WBB Teams. But this distorted and skewed seeding s#$%^@t has been going on for years! And, the retort from the Talking Heads at ESPN (The Real Selection Committee) is "Well, Look how they have always fared in Tournament Play." Look, Indeed!

That would help more than folks realize. That would have put us in last year and middle in this year.

The crazy part is that one of this year's bottom feeders was one of last year's top teams. UTEP went to the WNIT championship last year and then imploded this year. It's that kind of yo-yo performances that we have to avoid. Build consistent programs, not one hit wonders.

Yes, look at how the higher seeds always win out with their defacto home games in the women's tournament. That is a major difference between the men's and women's NCAA tournament.

Princeton is 30-0, its closest win on the year is 6 points, and had NC wins at Pitt, vs Wake Forest, American, Montana and at Michigan. And they're a 8 seed, despite being ranked 12th in the RPI.
Rice's coach retired yesterday. If we hire the right coach, we'll be a significant program again. A few years back, we upset the 4 seed in the first round of the NCAA's. We can easily be a tournament team again.

RE: WKU Lady Toppers a 12 seed in the NCAA Tournament
Had to stay home with my sick daughter and watched the Version of Bracketlogoy yesterday for the women....Admittedly I don't follow women's basketball as much as the men, but good lord....I thought ESPN and the talking heads for the men were unbearable, the women take the cake and then some...If you were from Mars and just tuned in to that show yesterday, you would think this is a 4 team tournament....They literally spent 30 min. each on ND, Maryland, and South Carolina and an hour on UCONN....
Teased the upsets and showed a second of WKU highlights in CUSA tournament and than proceeded to not even mention WKU when they did talk a split second about other teams that could upset someone...
Its a freaking joke, I hope we go in there and beat Texas by a 100 Friday, everyone in CUSA needs to root for us so this bs of being 30 and 4 and a 12th seed is stopped...

Two of UTEPS best players had to miss this year but will be back next season. One due to a injury and their best player is out due to propagating future miners.

I wondered if anything would happen with Rice. He was a good guy. Rice will miss him.
