Congrats everyone on the greatest signing day ever
Never seen a coach express disappointment and rarely seen fans do so let's all raise a glass to our new future alums who have signed to play #FunBelt football.

Troy moved up 32 spots in the nation rankings from last year and moved from dead last in the SBC to dead center. Good work for a staff that only had two months to recruit. Would love to see what Brown & Co. can do with a full recruiting cycle, a better record, and having broke ground on the new endzone facility after the coming season ends. Troy is making strides.

I'm not, I'll just see what these guys do before I crown em... That's all, we have had some classes do great things that weren't very great on paper and vice versa... These kids haven't taken a single snap. I'm excited about the possibilities and potential but it's only on paper at this point.

Once you've been around the block you've seen a zero star end up on Monday night football, a walkon who slept on a buddies couch last in the NFL long enough to vest in the pension, and can't miss stars who drunk, drug, steal, flunk or lazy their way out of a scholarship.

We put a whole bunch of recruiting class together in the 100's for a few years in a row, then used most of those players to start our run of 3 conference titles.

At our level the recruiting rankings are mostly guessing since there are too many players for the recruiting services to effectively evaluate. Ga Southern just went undefeated in the conference with mostly 0 star players.

Yeah. Kudos to GS's outgoing 5-year guys. My son walked on with that class (he was a transfer and has moved on with life). The GS 5-year seniors who are departing only did the following: 3 consecutive FCS semifinals, beat Florida in the swamp, and won the SBC in their first year of FBS ball. I'm proud of them because I've watched these guys grow up, but I'm also saying this to make a point.

If you looked at that in-coming class through the lens of it being a recruiting class for any FBS conference, I'm sure it wouldn't have ranked very high. However, those guys accomplished some pretty amazing things in their time in Statesboro. Today is the day that we all can declare victory, knowing that the kids who signed yesterday will bring that sort of success to their new teams. Let's all enjoy it before reality reenters the picture!

I wonder why 247 removed Jerry Brazil (3* juco/former 4* when signed to LSU) from our list. He's already enrolled and running with the track team who'll hold his scholarship until fall football begins. They had been listing him all the way up to signing day.

He's here on a track scholarship. Will have a chance to participate with football in the fall. He is not associated with the football team currently per Hud.

I love our signing class so far. A couple flips sucked, but our class is better this year than last year, and we dropped to 5th (may go back up to 3rd after our two 3 star guys get rated), but either way, that says a ton about what the other schools are doing recruiting wise.
