Rooting for UCONN... It would boost Tulsa's RPI and put some more distance between us and the rest of the conference... And I'm rooting for everyone to beat SMU every time they play them.

The last seven games between UC and UCONN have been decided by seven points or less.

I don't think it's a good matchup for us and they're getting pretty desperate, but the crowd (including myself) is going to be insane tonight. Hopefully that is a factor.

RE: 1/29 AAC Game
Story of UC's season has been when they protect the basketball they are a top 20 caliber team, when they don't they get very mediocre quickly. Must protect the ball against Uconn. If they do I expect a win.

For sure, and on top of that it matters what kind of TO's we have. Giving up layups with live ball turnovers has negated a lot of our stingy half court defense in certain games.

Truthfully, I expect UC to win by more than 10. Just a feeling.

Get ready Tulsa, you are getting ready to play the top half of this league, your position in the standings will sink faster than a submarine with a screen door.

They still have 4 games they should easily win. That's already 12 conference wins. They should be favored against Temple. That could be 13. That's already in the mix for the top of the league (would probably finish 2nd or 3rd) even if they went 0-5 in the tough games I didn't mention. Win 1 or 2 of those h2h and they can win it. I don't see the looming buzzkill for them. The schedule was favorable and they took care of business early. We saw Memphis do the same thing this year in football and hang on.

RE: 1/29 AAC Game
I have a question, do you guys think the AAC basketball league is held in as high esteem as the P5 group and the BE around the country and if not, would Tulsa winning the league instead of UConn, UC or Memphis tarnish it farther (trying not to be an ass), a serious question.

You do realize we have played every team in the league accept SMU and Cincy? We only play Cincy once, at home, so I'm not too concerned. How about Cincy just focuses on getting a road win against a top team in the conference.

Tulsa made an elite eight 15 years ago, made the tourney last year and are back on the rise. Our league has the team who won the national championship LAST YEAR. I don't think people view the AAC as pushovers. Don't know why you threw UC in there with Memphis and UConn.

Personally, I'm thrilled to see Tulsa/Tulane/Temple surprise folks this season...everyone talked about UConn, SMU, Cincy, and Memphis.

Makes for a very solid conference.
