LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns baseball team had its 2016 class rated No. 51 by Perfect Game in the latest national recruiting class rankings, the publication announced on Monday.
The ranking is the highest in the Sun Belt with Texas State second at No. 56. "The backbone of any program is recruiting, and I think this is a great reward for the hard work and effort put in by our two recruiting coaches," head coach Tony Robichaux said. "Coach (Anthony) Babineaux and coach (Jeremy) Talbot do a great job along with coach (Daniel) Freeman who is with the recruits when they are on campus.
This is a big feather in their cap and this is important for the continued growth of our program. We appreciate that Perfect Game respects the guys that we have coming in."
