Our normal rate is $45 for (so-called) 30/5, but it regularly tests at more like 15 down

Sling just expanded the list of setop boxes it works with. So my Roku 1 works with it now. Dont have to buy a Roku 3. Winning. Also....drum roll please....

Just used my Sling TV credentials to login to WatchESPN app. There are not enough smiley faces on Earth.

I could be perfectly happy with this.

My wife, however, would not be.

Another case where women are expensive. Take notes, unmarried men.

Ok, only able to access ESPN and ESPN2 via the WatchESPN app which doesnt make sense because I can already access those through the Sling app.

You can add espnu and espnnews for another $5/mo btw. Has a few other sports channels too but I forget what they are.

Yes I see that now so I guess that is how you get ESPN3.

To get ESPN3 I'm fairly certain you still have to have at a minimum a cable TV package with at least ESPN. At least that's what Time Warner told me.

I just bought a ROKU and have been contemplating Sling as well and eliminating cable, but to watch Sun Belt games that scenario won't work.

That doesn't make sense, ESPN 3 is tied to your ISP, not your cable provider typically. I'm not sure how it's going to work with Sling TV though, but typically if you have access to Watch ESPN content (meaning the broadcast simulcasts) then you get ESPN3 as well.

I have a ****** local ISP and they don't have ESPN3. I do have Dish though so my credentials for that give me everything.

With Time Warner, you cannot simply use their Internet only and still get ESPN3, you have to also be a cable subscriber with a package that includes ESPN. I was wanting to strip down to just their 'starter' package so I could get local channels without antennas and then go data, but can't get ESPN3 in that scenario.

I got an email back from Sling saying they are working on ESPN3 access.

For those of you who have Comcast/Xfinity, you can get ESPN 3 with either a cable package that includes ESPN, or with at least the "Performance" Internet tier.

Interesting.
I have cable internet through my local cable company without any cable programming, but I'm able to access ESPN3.

What’s better than sports? More sports! With Sling TV, you can now access even more action on ESPN3 via the WatchESPN app and WatchESPN.com. That means you get more sports with your Sling TV subscription.

Just download the WatchESPN app or visit WatchESPN.com and sign in with your Sling TV username and password, and – boom! – you’ve got even more sports.

Watch live sports anytime, anywhere on your favorite devices, including Amazon Fire TV products, Roku players, Roku TV models, iOS, Android, Mac and PC. Plus, with your Sling TV username and password, you can access WatchESPN content on even more devices like Apple TV, Google Chromecast, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.

Not enough for you? Add on the Sports Extra from Sling TV, and get SEC Network, ESPNU, ESPNEWS and ESPN Buzzer Beater on both Sling TV and the WatchESPN app.

I have a sling box connected to my directv. It's great in theory, but you have to have a really stable internet connection or it gets very frustrating.
