One look at some of the majors listed at other schools on the All-Mac Academic list, and you can see how pathetic some are. Not naming names...but I don't really have to.

Kudos to all nine players. I like the standards being set high for future Bronco's. Quality kids on and off the field. I bet they don't hang out at casino's...

I like how CMU has 3 guys in there that are "undecided". How can you be academic All-MAC if you haven't even decided what to study?

Wow so according to Dip and his posse on this board that using his words that suspect academic university filled with malcontents etc. etc. EMU actually had more football players named all MAC academic than WMU. And just to think EMU sports won the Cartwright Award last year.

I can take bowling and yoga and underwater basket-weaving and maintain a 4.0 as well. I'm sure even a trained monkey could do that.

Personally, I'm glad to see all those players from the MAC recognized for working hard at whatever academics they are involved in. It would be great if most kids could be pushing that 3.0 mark. Honestly, it is not that hard to do, especially with all the extra tutoring and monitoring they get.

How does Miami U only have 5 players on the list? Aren't they supposed to be the "ivy league" school of the MAC. Thought that those kids were SO MUCH smarter.

Rigor is much higher at Miami. No other MAC school comes close in undergraduate rigor.

They actually take difficult majors, not majors like "undecided" and glorified PE majors.

We have schools that are the Ivy League of the MAC and some that more closely resemble that University of Phoenix. Not hard to find a dozen Tiddlywink majors with impressive GPAs.

College of Education is a good place to look.
