Looks like a 6 way fight for the top 4 teams in mbb. Who do you think will get byes this season? I'm surprised that UAB is in the fight and Charlotte appears to be dropping off.

Yes we need to keep UAB for basketball, they are really young as well....Is it the top 2 teams that gets byes? After Saturdays game vs. UTSA WKU will end season 7 out of 11 on the road, so its really going to be tough...

USM obviously will be one.

well, ODU has 7 out of our 1st 11 on the road and we've dropped 2 of them already (with UAB next which I can't see a way we win that one with our play of late). tough sledding either way. good on WKU for taking care of business.

Sounds like C-USA needs to invest in new scheduling software. Between our dismal football schedule, and unbalanced home/road scheduling in basketball, it doesn't seem like it works that well. Let's not forget also that WKU and MTSU are only playing once in basketball. Grr

WKU at least is holding serve at home this year (so far). Let's see how the road treats us with the back end of our schedule. We haven't played very well at all away from home this year.

But I want a first round bye :(

How is it unbalanced? Everybody plays the same number of road games and home games.

Consecutive home games and away games. Some teams are playing bulk of home schedule beginning of season, others at end. Be nice to have a more balanced schedule. Nit picky perhaps.

I don't know if everyone realizes, but every team has a travel partner. The two teams are at home one week, swapping opponents Thursday and Saturday, and will travel one week, swapping opponents.

For example, UAB's travel partner is Middle Tennessee. We hosted Charlotte last night and they hosted ODU. They swap teams Saturday. Next week both teams are on the road, taking turns playing UTEP and UTSA.

Every team has a travel partner.

I have Microsoft Excel and a brain - I'll do our conference scheduling for free and make sure rivalries are protected. And I'll do it all in about 15 minutes.
