I do not see the same number of games as Temple fans, but I am really impressed with Matekevich.
I love him and he's a very good player, but he's laughably overrated by people outside of our program. He flashes and makes some big plays, but he doesn't rack up the sacks and TFLs that other players make. He has some issues laterally and misses tackles on the outside on occasion. Very good player, but there's a reason he's a 3rd or 4th round pick instead of a 1st round pick. Kyle Friend is an absolute stud who doesn't get the press he should.
wow you are underestimating Matakevich, he will likely finish with the most tackles out of anyone in temple history, he will start of next season with most tackles by an active player..and with a great season could finish top 5 (and note that he has never played in a bowl like others to add to his stats)...if our league did preseason awards like other conferences he'd win preseason defensive player of the year (we dont lol)..
he might not have ideal size and might not be that athletic in comparison to others, no one is going to mix him up with ray lewis anytime soon but he produces big time...

Shaq is Mr. Reliable and consistently moves the chains for the Bearcats. He will finish with the most receptions in UC history when next season is over.
i didnt want to go solely off stats ...but also added other aspects like how touted they are, and how good they are viewed as...mckay is the most touted of the UC recievers, and the only one to get conference honors or considerations

was thinking about it but he might not even be the starter when everyone returns..
He will. Won't be close.
Well, I think we all believe Boone should be the #1 RB (not even close). But what this staff will do is anyone's guess.

Never said he doesn't produce. Just saying he's not Temple's best player.

That's tough to fathom Luc is a f'n animal at 5'11 260lbs and idk his 40 time but he was chasing backs down the backfield no problem.

Grantland Article legitimately discussing him for Heimsan
http://grantland.com/the-triangle/heisma...ak-attack/
Quote: He has bench pressed 370 pounds. He has squatted 525 and done 308 on the power clean. He broad jumped 9.125 inches in strength and conditioning testing and ran a 4.08-second pro shuttle time.
Bigger has gotten bigger at ECU. He has added about 25 pounds to his 6 feet, 2 inch frame with the help of Jeff Connors in the weight room to tip the scales at 228.
Not sure about his 40. I'd imagine somewhere around 4.6-4.7.
There was a little jest in my comment

chris moore gets no attention as well (not from the op). i think our receivers aren't receiving the love that they should well have and will earn it despite them. maybe this class of americans has stout receivers, but it boogles my mind how we have so many good ones

Good list, but not many linemen or DBs on there which is fine. I like Farrow, he is a good
back. Reminds of the guy who played at Fresno, not as fast as him, but can make a guy miss and moves the sticks.

Lol Ucf will not be an offensive team. Yes we are reloading but we will still be defense first. Especially if our oline doesn't get it together this year
