Speaking of funny, or, not so funny, what are the Tigers gonna look like in football this year? I hope you all bounce back strong. There is no reason you shouldn't rule C-USA in football much like you do in basketball. Outside of a couple of teams each year there is not much competiton.

So Miss really is the bell cow of C-USA football. That being said, I think that we will bounce back next year. We plugged some holes on the D and O line. Hopefully we won't have QB injuries as we have the past two years. You may or may not know that the Def Coordinator was fired about half way through the season and that caused more troulbes than was originally thought. We closed the season by losing in OT to champ Houston and beating UTEP in El Paso, so we never quit.

Tommy West is the right fit for the program here. He will continue to do well.

How are you looking at QB and RB? I know Williams was a special RB and Wimprine was a talented college QB. It seems Memphis was good with those skill position players. I am sure it is much more than that. But do you have some good kids coming up?

We have had QB injuries each of the past two years and that has really hurt. Barring injury we should be okay at QB. We have a returning senior (transfer who played last year) and a returning junior who has been hurt each of the last three seasons. We are very stacked at receiver. Hopefully one of the QB's can put the ball in their hands.

At RB we have Joe Doss who is not a DeAngelo Williams, but he is a good college RB

IMO, the biggest problem was on the line, both offense and defense. Hopefully those holes have been plugged. Another area of concern has been in the defensive back field and I really am not sure where we are on that. Our previous coach put the best players on defense and Tommy puts them on offense. We do need some help at safety and corner back.
