Some pretty good numbers from a freshman who got the keys almost halfway through the season.

He's terrific, love this guy!!! Plays so hard on D and is a big time leader already. Clutch player and so court aware. His mistakes, which are few, are due to being overaggressive.

That 1.75 assists for every turnover rate is probably the most important number. It currently ranks him t-4th in the conference in CAA-only games, trailing only Dion Nesmith (Hofstra), Tarpey, Ron Curry (JMU) and tied with Thornton. We've had a bad run of play at the PG position ever since Goldsberry graduated, and its so important that we have a PG capable of protecting the ball and making smart decisions.

Not to mention his shut-down D of Marcus Thornton (about to become W&M's all-time scoring leader this season) in the 1st half of that WM game, before he got into foul trouble, was one of the more impressive individual defensive efforts I've seen since the Brownell era. That performance had shades of Goldsberry v JJ Barea to it. Tribe fans were saying they hadn't seen Thornton that frustrated since his freshman year Perhaps on the return trip to Trask he can do that for the full 40 minutes!

This kid can be truly special. Amazing that Keatts was able to get a player of his caliber in here despite the majority of D-I coaches being ahead of the pack in the recruiting timeline.

The only glaring problem right now is being "foul prone". But this, I believe, will correct itself with the experience he gains over the next few seasons.

Yep. I've seen him get visibly frustrated with a lot of the foul calls he's gotten. Seems like he hasn't quite gotten used to the fact that the refs don't really "let you play" as much in modern day D-I ball.

I watched this game in person and for most of the game I felt like we were the victim's of "home cookin". Then a switch went off with the officiating crew and as bad as they were making calls against us, toward the end they seemed to call it fair.
Personally, I'll take the legit fouls in exchange for the defensive pressure. The hand check rule is difficult because it's one of the most inconsistent whistles in the game right now.

That's what gets players, coaches, and fans all upset. If the refs call them all more or less the same, well then, okay. At least you know the drill. It's the inconsistency that takes away from the game.
