Hassan Whiteside - Clippers Destroyer
Whiteside (former Marshall player) took it to the Clippers. Enjoy the highlights:

RE: Hassan Whiteside - Clippers Destroyer
I hated so much when Marshall got this kid. He grew up just outside of Charlotte and I was hoping we would get him.

He was a case study in leaving college too early though. He wasn't ready for the NBA.

Glad to see him do well though and hope he has a bright future in the NBA.

Those were the days of great basketball in CUSA. Whiteside was about the 3rd best center in the league.

He was raw his one year at Marshall, but he was a shot blocking machine. If he caught the ball down low it was not coming back out. He made it the whole year without an assist.

RE: Hassan Whiteside - Clippers Destroyer
Whiteside should have never came out. Just another reason I don't like Donnie Jones, he convinced Whiteside he would go really high maybe even a lotto pick.

If this kid would have just stayed until after his JR year and had matured he may have been a high 1st round. I don't know how long he will get to stay at Miami once they get their injured players back, hopefully he gets a chance to catch on and play for someone if not Miami. After a few years over seas you can see a level of maturity in him that you didn't see at Marshall. You can see him squaring his shoulder up now and going to the rim with a purpose. While at Marshall he just didn't have that, not many 17-18 year old kids do though.

Who's injured? There's no one on the team with his size and athleticism; Anderson's been starting. We've been getting blown out in the 3rd Q. for the last month and a half and Whiteside always seems to be on the bench when they're making their runs.

The Heat's guard play has been erratic, Wade's been wishy-washy and Bosh disappears at times. Even Deng can look small out there. To have Whiteside out there dominating is a god-send.

I know McRoberts is, or he was and I thought the Heat and 1-2 more injured.

Herrion didn't ruin Damier Pitts, Shaq Johnson, Dago Pena or even DeAndre Kane. His 1st 2 years at Marshall he won 46 games, 22 his 1st and 24 his 2nd. Just because most of his recruits weren't worth a scholarship doesn't mean he can't coach, he clearly can.

Disagree, he won with Donnie's guys. All those you listed. Once they were gone we had nothing and no coaching of that nothing. Those other guys won in spite of Herrion not because of him.

McRoberts is done for the year, didn't rebound that well and was struggling to find his way. This kid looks like a true Center....finally.

And just for the record, he was 21 his only year here. Seemed his family members were ones pushing him to go, especially father, as mother asked Marshall coaches to convince him to stay. He has obviously grown up, I'm sure playing in Lebanon and in China had something to do with game getting better and it seems to have worked out for the best so why get angry about it?

Bulls destroyer today. He messed around and got a triple-double with 14 points, 13 rebounds, and a Heat record and season high 12 blocks. That was the first time I'd seen him play this year, and I was really impressed.

LOL. Riley strikes again. This kid is going to make Miami a play-off contender again. Spo' has misused Whiteside the last couple of weeks; but I don't think that even he can screw this up. Hassan's a game changer.
