I don't know why Cinci fans would be sad. I never said that. Its a good day for Tulsa Basketball, because we won. I don't care home or away. This is a game that we would not of won during the last ten years so yeah we get excited. I know it's not one of your better teams, but the name alone and the fact that you are the defending champs gives us some excitement. Especially since we lost to south,north, east west oklahoma state college at HOME. again don't take it as an insult that we are excited.

I'm not insulted at all. I didn't have a chance to watch the game, but through various places (like Twitter), it appeared to me that Tulsa dictated the pace(?) of the game. It also seemed that tonight was bad-UCONN, as they've been alternately good/bad UCONN this year. Congrats on the win tonight, and see you in a month at the Civic Center (aka XL Center)!!

That's exactly what it was. Tulsa dictated the game, and "bad UCONN" showed up. The good thing about the Huskies is that they tend to get better as the year progresses. I think we'll see a different squad next month.

The AAC definately needs a strong UCONN, they are the face of AAC basketball. GL at Stanford.

And congrats to Tulsa -- they are clearly much better than what I gave them credit for.

Fun game. Good crowd. The few UCONN fNs I talked to were very complimentary.

I think everyone wants a strong UCONN. And Memphis. Cinci. Temple. Houston. Etc.

This league has huge potential. A strong league is good for everyone. . I'm glad Tulsa can be one of the front runners.

+1.......for the first time EVER, Tulsa's Head Coach has a contract that will make it very difficult for him to leave. Coaches moving on has stalled some really great runs by Tulsa over the past 30 years, hopefully that trend is coming to an end.

What Bearcat1 meant to say was:

Congrats on beating a down and out UCONN team with replacement spare players. UCONN already has one foot out the door to the ACC and could care less about this game anyway.

I guess you guys paid some fans to show up today to get that chickensh..t arena full.

UC wouldve beat you by 30 if Kenyon was playing in 2000. At least we dont have to go play in hick Oklahoma this year and get to host you in a real gym with real fans.

Congrats on winning the biggest game in program history against a 9-5 UCONN team. Im surprised you didnt rush the court.

Thanks Bearcat. That was a fun game for Tulsa fans. It felt like the 1981-2003 era of Tulsa Basketball again!

It's been way to long for me, but I'm hoping this is the beginning of another good, long run for Tulsa Basketball.

Congrats Tulsa. Good game, good crowd, good win for you guys. Your program looked for real last night. I don't know what your typical crowds look like, but if you can maintain a high level of support, I have less concern than I did before about being in a conference with you guys. I hope our fans get up for your trip to CT.

That energy and passion on the court was Tulsa basketball. The energy and passion in the stands was Tulsa basketball.

Exhausted and lost most of my voice today but it's all good.

I think most people saw a few flashes of brilliance (Creighton and Auburn games) but were overall pretty down on Tulsa. Myself included.

Yeah those two losses just baffle me to be honest. SE OK State is 7-8 and Oral Roberts is 8-8. I mean maybe one of them but how do you lose to two bad teams when you are clearly a solid squad. Guess we will see how it plays out but I think those losses will kill you come selection time if you are able to make a decent run through the remainder of conference play.

Booooo....I can't win them all. Didn't think uconn would hit like 40% from ft line and played poorly overall. Tulsa played well and looked like a tourney team.
