NCAA Men's BBall Poll (AP)
It's not a huge deal or anything, but Hofstra received a vote in the AP Top 25. Not that I'm expecting a team from the CAA to make the 25 at any point this season, but it's not a bad thing to see a vote or two I suppose.

Hope our guys are getting good and prepped for WM.

Absurd that they are getting any votes, but good news that the CAA still has enough legitimacy to earn any kind of national attention.

For what it's worth, this is the second week in a row they're receiving a vote...

Weird. Well, Hofstra does get a nice little piece of NYC media attention, so I guess that one voter lends credence to that undefeated CAA record.

Ah, Feinstein. He's always been a big advocate for mid-majors, which I appreciate. But I think he's gone a little too far here, lol. The CAA really does suck this season.

Checking in at 35 in today's poll. 3 25th-place votes from Seth Davis, John Feinstein & our good friend Elton Alexander.
Clemson checking in at 29 with 12 votes.

NCAA Men's BBall Poll (AP)
Nice to see the writers giving us some love, finally!

It appears we got 1 point in the Coaches Poll, which ties us for for 39th. MTSU got 1 also. Incredulously, Clemson got none.

Which is why I don't even think a win at Clemson gets us in. Such BS. Clemson is getting the shaft big time too.

Not in the Coaches poll anyways. The AP Poll at least is leaving the door open for us.

RE: NCAA Men's BBall Poll (AP)
Not sure what you guys expect to see in the polls,UNCW has no wins that would get them ranked and Clemson has one. Neither team should be ranked at this point. If Clemson plays well in the ACC they could be ranked at some point. UNCW has to beat Clemson and keep winning in the CAA. I think a record of 20-1 or 20-2 might get a few votes-maybe. 25-1 or 25-2 should get UNCW some love. You can't play D2 teams at home with a relatively weak overall schedule and get ranked as a UNCW,gotta play better teams.

Have to agree with you. Two DII games is certainly one too many. Most would argue two too many. We need to win the CAA and win the tournament.

If St. Bonnies somehow finishes top 1 or 2 in their conference AND we beat an at-large caliber Clemson AND we only lose 2 in the CAA, then maybe we have a chance at an at large.

I think Clemson has a decent chance at an at large bid if they stay healthy but St.Bonaventure is a mid pack A10 team I think-if they finish above 4th I would be surprised.

Every pre season pick had the Bonnies at #4, and #4 in a 14 team conference is above "middle of the pack"

RE: NCAA Men's BBall Poll (AP)
Blah blah blah these are not legitimate excuses. Take out the D-II games and we're still 9-1, on a 7-game winning streak, have an RPI of 19 and SOS of 75, 4 wins against teams who have 7+ wins, and zero bad losses.

I get that we don't belong in the Top 25 at this time, but a win @ Clemson would remove the last excuse for the remaining writers/coaches not giving us some respect.
