Perriman is a beast. The sky is the limit if he shows well at the combine. I think Bortles showed what a good showing at the combine could do for ones draft stock.

I'm sure ECU fans won't miss him
Is that the guy who had a hail mary fall in his hands because our DB's and 1 LB are idiots? I'm sure he's a great player but he didn't do anything that amazing on that play more some amazing stupidity on ECU's part.

He showed pretty good concentration and focus on the ball as well as good timing and ball judgement. All things the ecu players messed up on

Yep, but I believe every receiver on your roster would have made that catch considering how horrible the ECU players played it. Not an insult to him though because he's a huge talent and will probably have an extremely good NFL career.

Maybe, luck is when preparation meets opportunity. I'm upset were losing him but hope he has a good career in the league. I hope he gets drafted in rounds at least 3-4 otherwise I don't get leaving early

With his size/speed I expect he'll impress at the combine. He is probably the most physically impressive receiver in the AAC.

Pretty impressive. 21 YPC.
UH had Patrick Edwards go for something similar a few years ago, 1700 yards on 80-something catches. 19.5 YPC if I remember correctly. Unfortunately, he didn't have the body and/or speed to really make a lasting impact in the NFL. Perriman does.

Cam Worthy hit 1k on 55 catches and in only 11 games. I hope he gets a real look by NFL teams because he's a freak. 6'3 220 with a 43 inch vertical.

He should have stayed for one more year from a development point of view. Lots of good receivers coming out this year and you have to wonder if he would have upped his stock with another big year where he would be the primary target instead of being one of many good WRs. Of course...that could be why he left, but if he only gets drafted in the 4th-5th round he lost himself some money.

While he is a Junior...he is not a true Jr...as he still been out of HS for 4 years ( grayshirted his Freshmen year)...and he does come from a good family situation (monetary wise), so he wants to move on with his professional life.
He ended up signing with the same agent who was his Dad's NFL agent back in the day.
As with any draft choice...it doesn't really matter if you are a 4th round or 6th round pick as the most important thing is if you land in the RIGHT program/team...as its your 2nd NFL Contract which is usually your largest...and getting to the NFL 1 year early...you are 1 year closer to that potential (obviously not guaranteed) 2nd NFL Contract.
In regards to UCF's depth at WR in 2014 (or 2013)...I think the opposite would happen in 2015...as teams could easily double-team Perriman because of lack of depth...vs most couldn't do that during Perriman's career because UCF was sooo deep at that position.
Add the potential chance/risk of injury...he made the right choice for himself to jump to the NFL but as a fan, obviously I wished he (and Jacoby Glen) stayed.

He should have came back for next season...Right now unless these guys have horrific Combines/Pro Day he is behind Amari Cooper Alabama, DeVante Parker Louisville and Kevin White West Virginia as sure fire 1st Rounders...Perriman could have came back and been in 2016 a Top 10-16 Overall Pick with LaQuon Treadwell of Ole Miss as his main competition at that position.
As far as injury...Parker at Louisville missed the 1st Seven Games but will be a Top 15 Pick...as long as it is not a major knee injury you can recover...same with Todd Gurley at Georgia...Torn ACL and still a possible 1st Rounder.
But he will be at worse a 2nd Rounder so he will be in the league regardless.

UCF's offense is changing next year. The past 2 years we've been in 3 WR sets. Next year, I'm almost sure that we'll be in 2 WR with a TE & FB and a run first team. It would have been nice to see Perriman & Akins pair up.

Are we sure about that? Taaffe was the reason we had such a versatile offense, playing to the strengths of the roster. How can we know if Key isn't more a Tim Salem type?

Wish we could get alumni Tim Beck, but he's at OSU now.
