You're pretty much making my point. He had 1 bad season (2 losing seasons in his last 4), and that's what cost him his job. Fans were getting upset, IIRC. They haven't recovered since then.

Clawson had a lot to do with that last season.

I like Fleck. He turned a bad program around and built for the future in a very short time. I think WMU and every D1 college in the country is crazy for paying what they pay but if I'm Fleck I'm taking the dough. His enthusiasm and evident coaching skills will likely get him a bigger payday before long.
