Sure, by all means go visit and experience first hand how an oppressed populace lives with absolutely no freedom and no hope of freedom. Also be sure to take in a visit to the prison camps where the estimated 4,000 political prisoners are being held.

Oh, and visit the beaches too*
I'm not planning on visiting anytime soon and definitely not as long as the current regime is there. But the facts are that what the U.S. has done has not worked for 54 years, it has been used to convince the population that all their economic troubles are due to the U.S. .
And yes there is no freedom and thousands of political prisoners but how is that different from China and Vietnam who we have relations with? And how has our old policy that was in effect for over 50 years had any effect in giving freedom to the population or freeing political prisoners?

Fine, I will never go nor spend any money. Yes, they were under a horrific regime but I hope that all changes because it is good for both countries. I hope once the Castro's are gone, then they become a democratic country. I tend to believe this is the first step in the right direction. When that happens, yes, I would like to go and even visit the beaches. Thanks for being a dick.
