BYU's quarterback confidently predicting a win today on the BYU Sportsnation show on the BYU TV channel. Tomorrow at 11:00 AM they will air a 2 hour special from Miami which is bound to have other juicy nuggets. I want to beat them bad.
RE: BYU Quarterback Says Memphis Pass Defense Is Weak
His name is Christian Stewart: When asked what they could do better then Memphis: "Oh. Everything. I think we will be able to score on every possession.
RE: BYU Quarterback Says Memphis Pass Defense Is Weak
I agree with the BYU QB when applied to the UCLA game, when UCLA hurt Memphis with the deep passes. But, as the year went on, it got better, not a lot, but it did improve. So, to a degree, I agree. Memphis was starting to have some picks at the end of the season, which is a good sign. Memphis' overall defense is better than BYU, and BYU has a slightly better offense, by national ranking. I think it will be a tossup game, because both teams are very similar in many ways, even against similar opponents.

Tigers safeties have been caught several times looking into the backfield and thinking too much on run support. I think we have two very good corners who have helped to cover up this weakness at times. With better safety play we could have been 10-2 or even 11-1 this season.

BYU QB better get rid of the ball pretty quickly cause Redden, Golden, Ifedi, & Hunter are going to be looking for some. Then you got Tank and Charles coming around the ends.
Yeah, our pass defense sucks......
Let's kick the ball and see how it works out for them.
