Any big December signees?
Idaho is taking advantage of the winter signing period to apply winter players to last year's class, allowing us to make up some ground after a lot of players from the last class never made it to campus. The coaches clearly focused on our weak points and grabbed a bunch of OL and DB's, which cost us in all of our close games. Last year we took a ton of JC players to balance out our 5 person sophomore class, and it looks like they are going to starting to back off the JC pipeline since we are targeting JC players only where we really need the help.

We signed 11 players yesterday (give or take one who might just be a verbal)
3 OL (one more with 7 offers didn't make grades and should sign in Feb)
4 DB's (one a former Cal commit)
1 RB we offered as a HS but had to go to JC to get eligible
2 DE's
1 WR with an impressive 21 YPC

According to the coaches we should see another 15 or so kids in Feb with probably 2 or 3 of them being JC kids.

How did the other SBC programs do?

We fixed the offense in one offseason. This off season we fix the defense. Signed two DL on wed who will be immediate starters and signed two former 3 star P5 signees at linebacker. That is not including the 2 HS 3 star LBs we have committed and the grey shirt 3 star LB enrolling in January. So yeah, we got help coming.

You did? You went from 7th in the SBC in offense last year to 8th this year, and your PPG only went up from 18-22. You managed only about 300 more total yards, and only about 20 more per game average.

Your numbers improved...but to say you fixed an offense that still couldn't run the football, and ultimately got a lot of their passing yards because they were behind all the time? That's a stretch.

RE: Any big December signees?
Yeah, size is only a part of what makes a good lineman. Don't get hung up to much on those numbers alone.

Sun Belt First team O-Line:

290, 305, 280, 324, 295

Sun Belt First team D-Line:

310, 277, 280, 245

Look at our first half numbers vs the second half. We were running the ball just fine in the first half of the season until we lost 3 RBs and two OTs. As for, got a lot of passing yards because they were behind all the time. Good grief, does everything around here have to turn into an anti GSU pissing match. Just absolutely ridiculous. You're either holiday trolling or didnt see many of our games.

Why do you assume just because someone takes a different point of view, they're trolling? Chiefsfan simply looked at the seaon numbers, and stated his response based on a claim. Seems to be a very reasonable response.

Rather than simply posting your big signees you decided to compare them to App's. Who started a pissing match?

Trolling? No.

I am looking at your numbers and basing it off the 4 Georgia State games I watched. (ABCU, stAte, USA, App)

What I saw was an okay offense combined with a terrible defense. You guys still averaged over 8 points fewer per game than any of the top teams did. That's a problem because you're not going to win in this league averaging just 22 points per game.

we all just need to go ahead and realize that ga state just signed the greatest JUCO's in the country, and the rest of the signing class were all conceived by sperm that was genetically mixed between Jesus and Chuck Norris.

How did the other SBC programs do?

I was wondering if/where Willie Fletcher would resurface. Seemed like folks were high on him at stAte the one spring he was on campus.
