Ho-ly s**t.

I'm astounded.

We finally put our money where our goals are.

Well done, KB and Dunn - and, most importantly, donors! 01-ncaabbs

Wow. Dazzling level of support!

I am so ready for an elite football experience over the rest of the decade.

The guy will take us to levels never before imagined in these parts.

We owe these supporters a massive debt of gratitude.

RE: 800K a year...?
Very surprised at this level of commitment. Wow.

At my place of employment, they just hired a new guy a couple of weeks ago, a recent WMU grad. This afternoon, I asked him if he was going to watch the game. While he said yes, he also said that "wow they gave the coach a new contract and a raise." I was unaware that it had gotten done and told him I didn't believe he had signed yet. Little did I know........

RE: 800K a year...?
Anyone have any idea what the assistant pay will be? Flecks new yearly pay is equal to what they were paying the entire staff...

Go big or go home!

With this, the administration has spoken loud and clear about their intention of building a great football program. This is so awesome. WMU football has a very bright future.

That contract will help get stronger commitments from a very strong recruiting class, that class should hold together a little better now.

I like Phillip John and all, but reminds me a bit of Charlie Weiss.

RE: 800K a year...?
Big commitment. I hope it pays off. Seems like Dunn might want us to be "big time". I really thought they would put him about the Solich level but for the Mac, the gap between PJ and Solich is as much as some other coaches are making in a season.

Need that scoreboard.

Now we need to really continue to win. PJ said he like pressure, he has it in spades now... I like the commitment... Very surprising from WMU.

From the article:

This new Agreement recognizes Fleck and his Assistant Coaching staff at MAC-best levels and was developed with the idea of keeping Fleck in Kalamazoo for the longer term

Obviously no $ amount is given, but I'm assuming this means our assistant coaches will be receiving a significant boost as well.

I like the move. Great job, WMU - and thanks, Bronco donors!

RE: 800K a year...?
Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kathy Beauregard has always been one to take a chance and its great to see President Dunn taking chances. After that disaster known as Bailey it's refreshing to see those in charge doing what they can to keep WMU on the minds of people across the country. The collective groan you heard was from 11 head coaches, 11 AD's and 11 presidents across the MAC when the realized that WMU just upped their game and issued a challenge to the rest of the conference to up their game.
