RE: Which team just seems to have your team's number in football, basketball, & baseball?
The closest thing we have in football would be the Citadel. Always close games even when we are a lot better.
App State from 2005 to 2009 was just plain better than we were in those years and I don't consider that having our number. Don't consider being 2-3 since then to be having our number either.
In baseball it would definitely be North Florida. I think we should beat them more than we do.

Troy
Here are your facts: Troy is the only team to shut us out in Jonesboro in Football, and no matter how bad they are, they always play us close
In basketball, it seems like every game is close. There are times in our mediocre to decent years where we'd run through a gauntlet of WKU, MTSU, and UALR without a loss, and then somehow lose at home to Troy.
In baseball: Much like we own UALR at baseball, until very recently, Troy never lost to us. They literally won something like 11 of 12 against us during a 4 year stretch. They have also eliminated or beaten us in the conference tournament 3 years in a row. While we've made a little up in baseball, they still have a monkey on our back that we have been trying to remove forever.
Lol, I've never noticed
That 2010 football game was fun
It was 2009.
We got our revenge blowing you out in 2011. It feels strange listing you guys as our bogey team despite having won 3 straight, but WKU is no longer in the league, and they are the only real obvious choice.
No lol, it was 2010.... Went down the field and beat Arkansas State in the final 50seconds
I thought you were talking about the shutout in Jonesboro, LOL.
That Troy game in 2010 was one of like four games we lost in the closing few minutes. Ultimately, that's what cost Steve Roberts his job, and started the run of ASU football.

They were both last minute wins for Troy.
I remember in 2009, ArkSt ran a lot of end around and sweep style runs. Troy had the ball in ASU territory with 2:45 on the clock and somehow ran it all the way down using three timeouts to escape with a win. Not sure why we didn't try and score. Or maybe I'm not remembering it right.
2010 was a late minute wheel route passing touchdown to our running back in the endzone. Good play calling that year.

Football: Maine... Hoping South Alabama doesn't replace them.
Baseball: College of Charleston
Basketball: Year-in and year-out, I wouldn't say anyone has really, "had our number." Against regular opponents, we have been competitive when expected and less than competitive in other years. If anything, recently anyway, it could be said that everyone has, "had our number."

we seem to trade wins with unt. they come in to our place and beat us and we go to theirs and beat them. we have a hard time getting the sweep. in football we used to take our loss every year from tcu, then we beat em a couple of times and they quit playing us.
